Time & Material: Maintenance/Repair Services:

Services related to providing heating and ventilation services. Services include, but are not limited to any combination of providing plant equipment, materials, tools, transportation, supervision, and labor to perform all repairs, periodic preventative maintenance and emergency service work calls to ensure continual operations of refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioner, boiler and chiller systems.

Fixed Price: Retro Fit and Repair Services:

Services related to replacement alteration and installation Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Boiler and Chiller Installations.

This price is the Government price based on a unit of one, exclusive of any quantity/dollar volume, prompt payment, or any other concession affecting price. Service Technician:

Functional Description: All B & I Contractors, Inc. service technicians perform maintenance, installation, operational checks and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment including but not limited to chillers, packaged HVAC units, split systems, air handlers, pumps, VFD’s, ERV’s, VAV’s, supply and exhaust fans, computer room units, and electronic (DDC) control systems and pneumatic control systems. Our service technicians are all factory trained and proficient in diagnostics, repair, maintenance and operation of the listed types of equipment.

Minimum Experience: Our technicians have a minimum of five (5) years field experience.

Minimum Education: All technicians have a minimum High School diploma or GED.

B & I Contractors, Inc. has been providing quality service, maintenance and installation of all types, styles and sizes of commercial and industrial air conditioning, heating and ventilating systems for over 60 years. B & I Contractors currently has over 80 fully equipped service and construction vehicles.

We are a state registered mechanical contracting company that presently has nearly 700 employees including management, office support staff and field tradesmen. Our staff of professional and graduate engineers gives us the unique ability to design the most energy efficient systems available to the exact wishes of an owner.

We have seven departments within the company consisting of HVAC Service, HVAC Installation, Sheet Metal Fabrication and Installation, Plumbing, Electrical, Design Build Specialized Projects and Life Safety.

Our tradesmen consist of HVAC Service Technicians and HVAC Duct Installers, HVAC Pipe Fitters and HVAC Control Technicians. Our field tradesmen are trained in the service of Chillers, Rooftop HVAC Equipment, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Split System Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps, Boilers, Pneumatic Controls, Direct Digital Control (DDC) Energy Management Systems design installation and service and all types and styles of Air Handling Equipment.

The service Department uses a GPS tracking system that provides pin point locating of the closest technician to a customer’s location. This provides the fastest response to an emergency available today. Our dispatchers can divert or reroute a technician as needed. We provide 24/7 coverage and with one call be able to speak to our on-call technician to discuss an ongoing situation. All of our technicians receive and transfer their call information via laptop computers that are tied directly into our dispatch software. Any field paper work is scanned and emailed directly to dispatch. This system allows us to track call status instantly and provides record keeping down to each individual piece of equipment.

The service department also is active in Energy Management from installation and service of DDC Controls systems. To providing Energy Audits using the Air Advice Cloud system and the US Department of Energy, Energy Star program to assist owners in improving the operating efficiency of their buildings.
