1. Project Manager I Functional Responsibility:

Assemble project resources, i.e., equipment, labor, determines length of project and cost; visits sites to ensure safety and customer satisfaction to internal and external customers. Assesses project needs in terms of equipment and labor and determines projected length of project and costs; oversees adherence to timeframes and costs throughout the project. Plans for initiation of project by scheduling resources; submits required paperwork to start project; negotiates with regulatory agency personnel and prepares written plans and compliance documents.

Visits project sites to monitor and keep client apprised of progress; recognizes and negotiates changes in original project plan and readjusts costs accordingly; performs field activities such as sample collecting if necessary.

Maintains favorable and productive client relations throughout project; provides progress reports to and negotiates change orders with client.

Supervises subordinate personnel involved with field operations, plans work to ensure safe conditions, and instructs in methods and procedures. May supervise emergency response crew.

Participates in hiring, performance evaluation, disciplining, promotion and termination decisions.

Responsible for monthly billing approval and various other administrative tasks.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Four year college degree; technical field major preferred.

Two to five years experience in hazardous waste management industry.

2. Safety/Compliance Coordinator Functional Responsibility:

Audits various work sites to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental requirements and governmental regulations; recommends and monitors corrective actions.

Provides technical assistance to assist Company managers in controlling losses from injuries, liabilities and property losses; develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new standards and safety practices.

Develops and conducts safety and health training programs.

Coordinates accident investigations; assists when appropriate; ensures completion of necessary paperwork.

Coordinates medial, workman's' compensation and insurance programs to control costs; serves as liaison between insured and insurance carrier when appropriate.

Represents the Company with OSHA, the EPA, the DOT and other regulatory officials regarding permitting, violations, inspections as requested.

Assists with obtaining quality safety equipment and when applying for required safety permits.

Assists in the development of corporate safety budge and monitors budget for assigned areas to ensure adherence.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of

Health/Safety/Science/Engineering/Chemistry.

Five years of professional experience in the area of expertise (Health & Safety).

3. Field Supervisor Functional Responsibility:

Provide on-site supervision of equipment and personnel in a safe and conscientious manner providing value and customer satisfaction to internal and external customers.

Supervises the site crew to ensure that work is performed according to consultant and client specifications.

Oversees the safety of the crew to ensure that workers are wearing proper safety equipment and utilizing safe work practices.

Operates each job in the most efficient manner possible.

Keeps client informed of job progress Answers client on-site questions and maintains good client relations.

Completes daily paperwork to track labor, equipment, supplies and materials used for billing purposes and other associated paperwork; keeps project manager apprised of changes in usage from contract.

Fills in for any crew position as needed.

Supervises emergency response crews when needed.

4. Field Technician Functional Responsibility:

Provide field work on site-specific jobs to meet the goals of the project in a safe and conscientious manner providing value and customer satisfaction to internal and external customers.

Prepares necessary supplies, tools and other equipment for transport to worksite.

Cleans and scrapes the inside of and assists with removal of underground chemical storage tanks;

prepares waste for proper disposal.

Provides labor for demolition of contaminated buildings and land sites;

Operation of small mechanical equipment, pressure washers, hydro-blasters Operates small hand tools and provides other construction type labor in projects.

Decontaminates customer/company equipment and tools.

May load, unload and sample drums.

Respond to emergency spills.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to understand RCRA compliance standards and OSHA safety regulations. Ability to work closely with others.

5. Field Services Driver/Operator Functional Responsibility:

Provide on-site operations of equipment and transportation of wastes to disposal facilities in a safe and conscientious manner providing value and customer satisfaction to internal and external customer.

Prepares for daily trip by inspecting vehicle and equipment, fueling truck and ensuring all equipment is in excellent operating order.

Drives to customer service sites to collect waste material and / or transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste material to facility for unloading and disposal.

Completes manifests, company documents, and other marking and placarding documents for every load.

Maintains a driver logbook for D.O.T. compliance.

Ability to operate high velocity vacuum trucks and all attachments.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma Must have Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement, air brake endorsement and tanker endorsement.

One year experience driving type of equipment required for job, if being hired from outside of

Heritage. Minimum of 6 months of Field Services experience before being eligible for promotion to this position.

Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts. Ability to understand RCRA compliance standards and OSHA safety regulations. Must meet Heritage driving qualifications with CDL.

6. Field Chemist Functional Responsibility:

Assist in the Segregation of chemicals by hazard class; packing compatible materials in appropriate containers and preparing for transportation; completing necessary paperwork per job.

Determines and loads supplies needed for job completion and travels to various industry, laboratory, and school sites to perform lab pack services.

Assists in characterizing materials at field project sites.

Follows proper placarding and load segregation requirements when transporting hazardous materials.

Develop good client relations by effectively communicating with customers.

Directs Field Technicians/Drivers assisting with waste collection.

Introductory knowledge of high hazard materials management/assessment and cylinder handling.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities:

Good knowledge and understanding of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the Environmental Services Industry. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.

Taxes and Fees Are Not Included. The allowable Energy Surcharge under the GSA schedule is 5%.

If there is just one location outlined for waste pick up, a stop fee is not imposed (typically called a full load). Drum rates will be subject to a $49.37 stop fee for each additional client stop.

All loads are allowed one hour for loading. Additional demurrage is $1.00 per minute. A demurrage is a charge payable to Heritage Environmental Services, LLC in respect of failure to load waste within the hour outlined.

Only DOT Transportable drums will be picked up. No frozen, bulging, severely dented, or leaking drums are acceptable.
