The prices offered are based on the preponderance of where work is performed and should the contractor perform in an area with lower SCA rates, resulting in lower wages being paid, the task order prices will be discounted accordingly.”

Job Descriptions

Job Title: Daytime Sign Language interpreter M-F 7am-5pm (2 hour minimum)

Job duties description: Facilitate accurate communication between the hearing customer and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients in any setting. Interpret from English to American Sign Language and vice versa in both simultaneous and consecutive modes. Work closely with team to ensure the content and spirit of messages is rendered accurately. Prepare in advance for all assignments to ensure familiarity with specific terminology used in each assignment. Provide sight interpretation of documents, including course or training terminology, poetry, and literature. Utilize thorough knowledge of RID's Code of Professional Conduct to make ethical and professional decisions.

Education Level Required: A minimum education level of a High School Diploma is required. 99% of our interpreters are college graduates who hold an Associate Degree in Applied Science (i.e. graduates from IPP -interpreter preparation programs).

Certification Requirements: No certification is necessary. We can offer qualified interpreters that may hold any of the following certification:

RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) Associate RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) Member NIC (National Interpreter Certification) EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment)

These individuals are recommended for a broad range of assignments in the legal setting.
