Principal professionals frequently possess a Master of Sciences or Arts and/or Doctorate of Philosophy degrees, but these are not required for Principal-level professionals. Principals are evaluated for overall expertise in their area of specialization.

Examples of professional certifications include, but are not limited to, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Professional Engi-neer (P.E.), and Professional Geologist (P.G).

SPECIAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (SIN) EXPERIENCE

Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) Searches - Multi-site in California and Nevada Contract No.140P8119F0028, 140P8519F0048

Work has been performed or is being performed under three different Contracts for the National Park Service (NPS) that consists of preparation of PRP Search Reports for 32 contaminated sites subject to CERCLA within multiple National Parks, including Death Valley, Channel Islands, Great Basin, Pinnacles, and Yosemite National Parks; Mojave National Preserve; and San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. For each completed report, BBJ Group identified PRPs against whom CERCLA response cost recovery and PRP liability may be asserted, presented the evidence upon which such claims would be based, identified data gaps that should be addressed to augment this evidence, and provided recommendations to fill the data gaps.

Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans - Multi-site in Nebraska Contract No. VA26314F0421

Work performed under this Contract for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs health care facilities in Nebraska consisted of preparation of SPCC Plans for three facilities, development of SPCC Employee Training Plans for each facility, and annual SPCC plan revisions and training for a five year period. The facilities contained a wide variety of oil storage areas, including several 20,000-gallon diesel underground storage tanks (USTs), diesel and gasoline aboveground storage tanks, transformers, 55-gallon drums, waste oil containers, and grease traps, which BBJ Group observed and documented in the SPCC plans.

Drinking Water System Maintenance - U.S. Army Reserve Facility in Illinois Contract No. W911SA18D3003

Work performed under this Contract for the U.S. Army consists of monitoring and maintaining an on-site drinking water treatment system for a U.S. Army Reserve Center (US ARC) facility in Granite City, Illinois. The purpose of the work is to ensure the Facility’s water treatment system is functioning properly to produce both potable and palatable water. BBJ Group has provided water treatment services for this Facility under various contracts since 2014. Specific tasks include weekly treatment system inspections, monthly water quality sampling, and monthly status reports.

Training Gap Needs Assessment - Abandoned Mine and Lands and Hazardous Materials Management Programs Contract No. 140L3820F0042

Work to be performed under this Contract for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management includes providing a comprehensive Training Gap Needs Assessment for the Abandonment Mine and Lands (AML) and Hazardous Materials Management (HMM) Programs. Specific tasks include identification of specific training needs, evaluation of current training programs to identify gaps, and preparation of an evaluation report.

541620: Environmental Consulting Services As defined by GSA, Environmental Consulting Services include providing advice and assistance to businesses and other organizations on environmental issues, such as the control of environmental contamination from pollutants, toxic substances, and hazardous materials; Endangered species, wetland, watershed, and other natural resource management plans; Archaeological and/or cultural resource management plans. This includes identifying problems (e.g., inspect buildings for hazardous materials), measure and evaluate risks, and recommend solutions. Multi-disciplined staff of scientists, engineers, and other technicians with expertise in areas, such as air and water quality, asbestos contamination, remediation, ecological restoration, and environmental law such as Planning and Documentation Services for the development, planning, facilitation, coordination, and documentation of and/or for environmental initiatives (or mandates such as Executive Order 13693 in areas of chemical, radiological, and/or hazardous materials; ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and sustainable performance measure development; Environmental Assessment (EA) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) preparation under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Lead Shot Removal Treatability Study - Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware Contract No. 140F0420P0137

Work being performed under this Contract for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service includes bench-scale and pilot-scale treatability testing to evaluate the implement ability of in-situ stabilization/solidification (ISS), an element of a non-time-critical removal action (NTCRA) Alternative previously identified in an Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis (EE/CA) prepared for the site. Field summary reports, treatability study workplans, and a full-scale Remedial Action Workplan incorporating the findings of the EE/CA and BBJ’s field activities are requirements of the Contract.

Site Inspection Investigation

- Cumberland Island National Seashore in Georgia Contract No. 140P5420F0082

Work being performed under this Contract for the NPS includes a CERCLA Site Inspection and preparation of a Site Inspection Report for a Site at the Cumberland National Seashore. Specific tasks included preparation of a sampling and analysis plan (SAP), file records search, soil and groundwater sampling activities, and field survey.

Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis (EE/CA) and PRP Search

- Moses Cone Memorial Park in North Carolina Contract No. 140P5420F0082

Work being performed under this Contract for the NPS includes preparation of an EE/CA and a PRP Search at Moses Cone Memorial Park. Specific tasks include sampling activities for soil, surface water, sediment, groundwater, and fish tissue impacts and preparation of a Field Activities Report, Data Deliverables Report, Risk Assessment Report, and EE/CA.

Closure-in-Place of USTs - Death Valley National Park in California Contract No. 140P8119P0072

Work performed under this Contract consisted of closure-in-place of five USTs located within the historic Scotty’s Castle structure in Death Valley National Park. Specific tasks included compliance research in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), a ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey, UST abandonment activities, and preparation of a Closure Report.

As defined by GSA, Environmental Remediation Services include site preparation, field investigation, conservation and closures, emergency response cleanup (ERC), underground storage tank/above-ground storage tank (UST/ AST) removal, air monitoring, soil vapor extraction, stabilization/solidification, bio-venting, carbon absorption, containment, monitoring and/or reduction of hazardous waste sites, unexploded ordnance removal,and remediation-related laboratory testing (e.g., biological, chemical, physical, pollution and soil testing). Reclamation services include: creating new land from sea or riverbeds, wetland restoration, and restoring areas to a more natural state (e.g., after pollution, desertification, or salinization have made it unusable).

As defined by GSA, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services provided in support of environmental program include: cultural resource GIS (CRGIS); groundwater monitoring; growth forecast modeling; habitat conservation plans; habitat modeling; image analysis support for emergency response; mapping, cartography, and mashups (e.g., combining data from more than one source into a single integrated tool to include aerial mapping); migration pattern analysis; natural resource planning; remote sensing for environmental studies; terrestrial, marine, and/or atmospheric measuring/management; vegetation mapping; and watershed characterization for mitigation planning.

PRP Search for the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, California Contract No. 140P8519F0048

Work performed under this Contract for NPS consisted of utilizing Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS Pro to reference dozens of historic maps and photographs into a common datum; these sources were used to locate historic features and shorelines, and then spatial analysis was used to determine their relationship with current features of interest.

Fate and Transport of CVOCs in Groundwater, Unnamed Karst Site in Missouri Private Client: Electronics Manufacturer

Work performed under this Contract for a private electronics manufacturer consisted of utilizing EnterVol for ESRI ArcGIS to make 3-dimensional interpretations of contaminant flow through karst terrain. BBJ Group demonstrated the effectiveness of the local monitoring well network and achieved closure for major legacy site with a 30-year history of regulatory oversight.

Onsite Health & Safety Outsourced Compliance Assistance, Irvine, California Private Client: Medical Supply Manufacturer

Work performed under this Contract for a medical supply manufacturer consisted of utilizing ESRI ArcGIS to produce summary statistics, maps and graphs to maximize existing expenditures for the site. BBJ Group used interactive GIS deliverables via the ESRI’s ArcGIS online platform, allowing the Client to engage with data and live data updates.
