Officer of Company and has master’s degree in a related science field and a minimum of 15 years of experience in their field. (Includes Chemistry, Geology, Toxicology, Geochemistry, Environmental Studies, Mechanical Design, Oceanography and Biology).
Technical Director
A Technical Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of technical service sector, supervising and training of subordinates assigned to service sector and technical adequacy of completed projects.
A non-officer with a role in management.
Education is a bachelor’s degree. They are a PE or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years of experience of supervisory and project management responsibility.
Certified Industrial Hygienist
A Certified Industrial Hygienist holds specialized certification and/or licensing.
Has unique experience and/or expertise in their field. The Industrial Hygienist must hold professional certification.
Education is a master’s degree. They hold a professional certification with a minimum of 20 years of experience.
Scientist/Engineer IV
A Scientist/Engineer IV estimates and schedules assignments to meet completion dates; and plans, conducts, and supervises assignments on a project-by-project basis while under general supervision of the Principal.
Education is a bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
Professional Engineer
A Professional Engineer is a mid-level professional classification; works with little supervision; performs a variety of unique tasks and studies following broad instructions and procedures.

Project Manager
A Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day field operations of assigned scientific projects. They report to a Senior Project Manager.

Staff Engineer/Scientist
II
A Staff Engineer/Scientist II is an on the ground specialist applying their technical expertise in collecting and analyzing resource specific data on assigned projects. They work under the guidance of a Senior Associate or Senior Project Manager.

Field Technician
A Field Technician works under minimal direction and independently performs a variety of non-routine and complex tasks and studies.

Contract Administration
A Contract Administrator provides management support, job cost accounting and informational support to Project personnel and the firm’s senior management.
A bachelor’s degree is required and a Contract Administrator has a minimum of 15 years of experience and management responsibilities.

CADD supports the acquisition, compilation, and distribution of data and information. Works under close supervision of professional staff.

AHERA Building Inspector
An Accredited AHERA Building Inspector determines the presence and location of asbestos containing materials in a building and writes the report to document these findings.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience.
Staff Geologist
A Staff Geologists is responsible for examining conditions in the environment, creating reports that will help ongoing research, providing oral and written geological expertise, and developing and designing methodologies to help improve existing procedures related to data collection. Staff geologists perform physical tasks related to fieldwork, as well as work with a consulting team to collect and output data for their employer.
Bachelor’s degree in geology or earth science. Minimum of 8 years of experience.
Industrial Hygiene Technician
Industrial hygienists monitor, assess and resolve workplace health and safety issues. Duties include evaluating chemical or biological physical dangers like air quality, ergonomic challenges, dangerous sound levels and even productivity, through the establishment of and adherence to health and safety related regulations and protocols.
Education is a bachelor's degree in biology, chemical engineering, chemistry, industrial hygiene, industrial safety, mechanical engineering, physics or a related field and 4 years of experience
Scientist/Engineer I
Scientist/Engineer I is a professional classification; works under close supervision; performs a variety of routine tasks and studies following detailed instructions and established procedures.
Entry level position. Education is a bachelor’s degree.
Industrial Hygiene Assistant
Under direction, performs industrial hygiene work; makes preliminary surveys and inspections of occupational environments; prepares reports of findings and makes recommendations for the elimination or control of hazardous conditions; assists in the design and construction.

Administrative Assistant
Admin I personnel provide informational support and clerical support to Project and Administrative Manager personnel and report to the administrative manager.

It is recommended for anyone conducting building surveys for the presence of asbestos-containing materials. This would include industrial hygienists, engineers, architects, property managers, regulator personnel and environmental consultants. Annual refresher required.

541620: Environmental Consulting Services
EHSI is recognized as a premier hazardous materials consulting firm. We have a strong reputation for helping our clients solve the challenges of their capital, renovation, and remodeling projects and the associated hazardous materials that may be encountered, including asbestos, lead-based paint, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), mercury lamps, and other regulated waste streams. We have performed all aspects of work related to hazardous materials management—from initial inspection through abatement design and project closeout.
EHSI’s industrial hygiene team provides a multi-disciplinary approach to industrial hygiene challenges.
Our team exemplifies the integration of knowledge regarding worker protection issues, contaminant characteristics and chemical and biological sampling methods. Our industrial hygiene services include site-specific health and safety plans, chemical exposure monitoring, worker exposure monitoring, and health and safety program development to assist in achieving and maintaining compliance with occupational regulations. EHSI offers site specific health and safety training for workers on hazardous materials sites.
EHSI’s indoor air quality team excels in incorporating a multi-disciplinary approach to indoor air quality (IAQ) challenges. Our team exemplifies the integration of knowledge regarding building materials, mechanical systems, contaminant characteristics, chemical and biological sampling methods, and investigative skills. Our consulting services include commercial and residential IAQ assessments, real estate pre-purchase indoor environmental quality (IEQ) assessments, odor investigations, and support for LEED® IEQ credits such as IAQ construction management plans and pre-occupancy testing. Our expert staff can provide IAQ lectures, classes, and workshops designed to meet your needs.
In addition, EHSI provides testing services for specific contaminants, including but not limited to mold, dust, lead, gases, volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and radon. Our moisture intrusion and mold investigations typically include a complete moisture survey of building materials using the latest technology such as infrared thermography; testing using penetrating and non-penetrating moisture meters; air, swab, tape, and/or bulk sample collection; and evaluation of ambient conditions that could promote mold growth, including temperature and humidity. Our final reports include protocols for mold mitigation, when appropriate. We perform post-mitigation clearance assessments to verify completeness of remediation efforts prior to occupancy.
611430: Professional and Management Development Training
EHSI provides training on a number of health and safety areas. EHSI is an EPA certified AHERA training provider and conducts Awareness and AHERA Training for public and private clients. Training courses available on our GSA MAS contract include the following:
• Lead Awareness – This course includes OSHA/WISHA regulations, background, history, site specific guidelines, health effects, respiratory protection, personal protective gear, and lead exposure and control.
• Asbestos Awareness – This course covers OSHA/WISHA regulations, background, history, site specific guidelines, health effects, respiratory protection, personal protective gear, and asbestos exposure and control.

562910REM: Environmental Remediation Services
EHSI’s remediation expertise includes Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site characterization through intrusive soil and groundwater investigations, design, and management of multi-phase remediation of contaminated sites, and regulatory agency liaison services. Our staff has considerable background in remedial investigation and feasibility studies of all types of vacant land and developed properties.
Our Phase I ESAs are prepared in accordance with the latest version of the ASTM International (ASTM) guidance on “Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessment: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process” from ASTM (Designation E 1527-13) and US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI) Rule (40 CFR Part 312). We have assessed numerous complex sites for environmental liability and possess a unique perspective in executing Phase I and II ESAs because of our expertise in designing soil and groundwater remediation systems and managing complex remediation projects through site closure.
EHSI environmental personnel have overseen closure of thousands of underground storage tanks (USTs) containing almost every type of material. We provide complete turnkey services for UST closure and manage all aspects of removal, assessment, and remediation through complete site closure and “No Further Action” status from Ecology.
As a general contractor and environmental services firm, EHSI is able to provide complete turnkey services for site cleanup and remediation projects. EHSI is experienced with the evaluation of a variety of remedial alternatives, determining the most cost and time effective alternative, preparing remedial action plans, and designing and implementing selected remedial alternatives.
EHSI provides site characterization, risk assessment, remediation action plan development, bid specification and contractor selection, regulatory compliance, waste designation, soil and groundwater remediation including underground storage tank removal, and management oversight of contractors.
Remediation services include removal and disposal of regulated materials. Our hydrogeological services include groundwater well installation, monitoring, and soil sampling and testing.
