PROJECTS
Currents Magazine
BMC consultants edit, write, design and publish Currents magazine - the Navy’s quarterly energy and environmental magazine. Currents promotes the Navy's efforts to save energy and protect the environment in which it operates.
Environmental Program Development
BMC consultants are providing management consulting services and strategic planning services to help our client organize, manage and execute their programs. Results of this work include strategic plans, standard operating procedures, and execution strategies for the Naval Air Systems Command and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
R&D Programs
BMC consultants provide strategic planning, program management, facilitation, project tracking and program execution support services and procedural guidance for the two of the Navy’s environmental research and development program including:
· Developing and maintaining program concepts of operation and strategic plans.
· Coordinating efforts to identify and rank program funding priorities.
· Assisting with project information exchange, identifying process owners and technical experts, and obtaining endorsements on joint service projects.
· Facilitating technical meetings and program reviews including preparing meeting minutes and conducting follow-up on action items.
· Coordinating and monitoring the execution of the demonstration, validation, and/or field-testing of new technologies and maintain project information on web sites.
· Assisting in the preparation of funding documents and monitoring the execution of program funds by principal investigators.
· Preparing and delivering briefings on program status.
· Maintaining program tracking databases.
Facilitation
BMC consultants the following facilitation techniques to ensure that our clients’ meetings are as efficient and effective as possible:
· Establishing achievable meeting objectives and achieving consensus on those objectives,
· Using a variety of techniques to resolve disputes and enhance problem-solving,
· Defining and refining effective meeting agendas,
· Structuring approaches including brainstorming and the convening of group breakout sessions,
· Identifying, tracking and completing the logistical tasks necessary to ensure a successful meeting, and
· Documenting meeting results for the permanent record.
Fact Sheets
BMC consultants develop product line fact sheets, brochures, posters, and conference exhibits for many of its clients including the Naval Air Systems Command. These fact sheets are designed to educate acquisition program, facility managers and Fleet maintenance personnel on the range of products and services available to them. Ultimately, these fact sheets introduce acquisition, facility and maintenance personnel to innovative technologies and services that minimize the Command’s environmental footprint while maintaining mission readiness. BMC consultants have also developed fact sheets that focus attention on a particular technology or methods developed that can address environmental compliance concerns and enhance the safety of maintenance personnel.
Currents Calendar
Each year, BMC consultants produce a calendar associated with Currents magazine. Past calendars have featured "Some of the Best of Currents Magazine" and ocean reefs and the Navy’s efforts to understand and protect them.
