Executive Summary Founded in 1993, AET Environmental has been providing practical and timely solutions to waste management, compliance, environmental planning and remediation challenges facing the federal government sector for over 25 years.

AET currently services approximately three hundred government and commercial clients on a monthly basis. Our government client base serviced through this GSA Contract vehicle includes agencies such as the Department of Defense, Air Force, Army Corps of Engineers, General Services Administration (GSA), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Park Service (NPS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Commerce (DOC), National Institute of Standards (NIST), Veterans Administration, US Department of Agriculture, the US Geological Survey, and others. We understand what it takes to work effectively with government agencies from the cost, public trust, and regulatory compliance standpoints.

AET

Retaining the loyalty of high profile clients requires compliance and strict adherence to all pertinent regulations, but also, deep understanding of the nuances surrounding the transport of hazardous materials (49CFR), characterization and disposal of RCRA hazardous waste (40CFR), and an uncompromising regard for the health and safety of our clients’ and our own personnel (29CFR). These regulations are the foundation of our work. The specific concerns of our clients, as well as more stringent state and local regulations are layered on top of these federal requirements.

AET's goal is to provide innovative, sustainable services that keep pollution prevention and waste minimization at the forefront of programs for GSA and its clients. This GSA contract allows easy and efficient access to AET's exceptional responsiveness and value in environmental consulting, training, waste management, and remediation.

Upon being awarded a task order, AET's contract manager will review the requirements and assign the project to a project manger possessing the requisite skill set. The project manager will conduct any necessary research, develop work plans and assign staff as required. A timeline and design for the project are then developed, followed by implementation of the work plan, in order to complete the deliverable requirements (i.e. written report, permit submittal, system data entry, etc.). Data validation and/or a quality control check is performed by the project manager upon completion, ensuring the quality of the deliverable within the period of performance.

AET provides periodic reviews of client Chemical Hygiene Plans. For one government agency, AET installed, implemented start-up, maintains and manages a live chemical inventory software program. This government facility has over 20,000 chemical containers and over 3,000 unique chemical names. This chemical inventory system also maintains all Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

One example that illustrates proof of concept in this approach can be seen in one contract with a federal agency . AET’s project manager for this contract was given the task of set-up, entering and maintaining a data base of over 12,000 chemicals. The work was assigned to an environmental scientist with extensive experience in the CISPRO data base (similar to EESOH-MIS) system. The environmental scientist completed the initial data entry, which included location of materials within the facility, weights and quantities of the materials as well as other data such as expiration dates, physical properties and NFPA information. AET is routinely tasked to update the data base and provide various reports as requested by the client. Labels and bar codes are created for all containers which ensure proper tracking of all containers in each of the labs. All work under goes a quality assurance review by the project manager and is then forwarded to the client.

Another recent example with a federal agency is the request to have AET prepare and complete their Biennial Report as required under RCRA. Upon receiving the request the, task was assigned to a mid-level environmental scientist who just recently completed training in new EPA software, used to prepare the report. The report was completed a week ahead of the deadline, underwent a quality review and was forwarded to the client for submittal to EPA to the client’s satisfaction. In addition, AET was able to make some recommendations for waste minimization and Pollution Prevention (P2) as we gathered data in preparation for completing the report.

AET also oversees and is responsible for the preparation of various hazardous waste reports including Tier II, Biennial reporting and reviews and consults with regard to Contingency Plans, Spill Prevention and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC), and Pollution Prevention (P2) plans. We also provide consulting with regard to mock state agency inspections and compliance advisory responses. In conjunction with these services, we compile data and complete Toxic Release Inventory Reporting (TRI) and Air Pollution Emissions Notification (APEN), sampling and analysis and waste management plans for organizations in the government and private sector.

562112 Materials and Waste Recycling and Disposal AET has extensive experience in characterization and disposal of waste streams to ensure compliant storage and disposal methods. AET's expertise is in the characterization, sampling, transportation, and disposal of waste streams from a variety of sources.
