Emergency/Disaster Response When disaster strikes we are often on site at our customers' facilities alongside emergency first responders within hours of the event. We can accomplish this because we are able to mobilize and dispatch self-performing teams of various sizes to any location selected from the more than 2,500 employees located in over 30 offices nationwide. Our labor force is cross-trained and its members have decades of experience in meeting challenges in a variety of industries. As a result of this expertise and our quick action, our customers suffer the least possible damage caused by catastrophic events.
A partial listing of the services we provide in this area includes:
• Pre-Recovery Planning
• Content Restoration and Remediation
• Debris Removal
• Moisture Control and Dehumidification
• Fire, Water, and Smoke Damage Recovery
• Document and Data Recovery
• Electronic Data Recovery
• Salvage Mitigation
• Debris Removal and Disposal
Mold Remediation Concerns about mold and indoor air quality have grown dramatically in recent years, due to a significant increase in toxic mold claims caused by, hurricanes, floods, frozen water lines and other related events. NGS is an experience mold remediation contractor that has cleaned up various types of mold contamination in government and commercial office buildings, schools, hotels and industrial facilities.
Our work force and management team are all trained in mold remediation and have over two decades of experience in this field. We understand the importance of remediating contaminated materials promptly when attempting to prevent or eliminate mold formation. Our remediation teams are organized to respond quickly to these events and are trained to provide proven up-to-date mold abatement solutions. NGS provides a wide range of remediation services including:
• HEPA vacuuming
• Air Scrubbing
• Decontamination Disinfection
• HVAC Decontamination
• Duct Cleaning
• Drying and Dehumidification Services
• Sanitizing
• Removal and Sealing of Contaminated Materials
Drying and Dehumidification Excessive moisture resulting from natural disasters or manmade system failures can wreak havoc on building materials and cause mold and indoor health concerns. NGS has the resources and equipment to respond concurrently to multiple regional events. We have an extensive inventory of drying equipment, including high velocity air movers, negative air machines, and refrigerant and desiccant dehumidification equipment that are stored in our company warehouses located throughout the nation. We use state-of-the-art moisture identification equipment to inspect and identify wet building components such as sheet rock found on ceilings and walls. We then develop strategies and courses of action to quickly dry the affected areas through mitigation microbial action.
Biological and Chemical Decontamination Various government and law enforcement agencies have or are developing plans to neutralize the effects of chemical and biological terrorist attacks. NGS's specialized biochemical remediation response group was formed to support these agencies and are available 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
Our team works in conjunction with the responding agency to first identify the agent(s) and then design a plan to neutralize the contaminated area Our employees are HAZWOPER trained and are equipped with the appropriate personal protective equipment.
Infection Control NGS works in concert with health care facility administrators and general contractors to design and implement a series of engineering controls and physical barriers to prevent construction related airborne contaminants from escaping work zones. These measures reduce the potential for the inadvertent cross-contamination of treatment areas. NGS infection control technicians design and construct physical barriers, strategically place air filtration equipment and create negative pressurization in order to control particulates. These activities, in conjunction with constructing ante-rooms (decontamination areas), maintaining cleanliness and establishing waste stream controls, significantly reduce the transmission of potentially infectious agents associated with the construction or renovation process.
Environmental Remediation NGS offers the following environmental remediation services with this GSA schedule:
• Excavation, removal, handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste
• Remediation of a specific site or area including remediation of soils
• Site restoration
Commitment to Safety Safety and regulatory compliance are of paramount importance to NGS. Safety is a competitive advantage for NGS and for our clients, contractors and subcontractors — right at the top of the list along with quality work, on time and on budget. Our health and safety requirements exceed OSHA and other industry standards. At NGS, we believe in individual accountability by making safety a condition of employment, and in "Safety Through Teamwork". We employ more than 30 health and safety officers, and our branch and project management teams are hands-on-with safety inspections and training (including 30-hour OSHA Construction Standards, Corporate Safety Manual and First Aid/CPR training for our front-line supervisors). Our safety performance demonstrates continuous improvement, and consistently and significantly outperforms industry benchmarks.
