Educational Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from ABET Accredited Program

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

· 4 years Civil Engineering work-related experience

· Successful completion of FE exam

DESIGNER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity

· Assignment types which lack precedent

· Coordinate design work for project

· Perform design calculations

· Prepare material and equipment specifications

· Provide preliminary sketches and notes for drawings

· May act in a lead role over some drafters

· Sometimes may be called a “checker” (non-supervising)

Educational Requirements

· Successful completion of Technical College 2-year program (min.)

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

· Experience and proficiency in detail design work

· 5 years (min.) progressive drafting and design work-related experience

TECHNICIAN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· May perform non-routine and complex assignments

· Capable of working from verbal instructions under minimal supervision

· Extensive drafting/CAD skills required to visualize & portray complex design features

· Work closely with design originator and Project Managers

· May recommend minor design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion

· May guide or be assisted by lower-level technicians

Educational Requirements

· Successful completion of Technical College 2-year program (min.)

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

· 7+ years of progressive drafting experience, min. 5 years of computer drafting

RESIDENT ENGINEER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Supervise the activities of other Project Representatives

· Direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays

· Manage supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods

· Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules

· Conduct construction activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations

· Construction cost estimating

· Other miscellaneous duties as necessary

Educational Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

· 8 years of Construction Management experience

INSPECTOR

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Perform standardized or presented assignments over typical construction activities, under periodic supervision

· Has some direct client contact

· Arrange job progress meetings, material testing, conducting government inspections

· Notify supervisor or Project Manager of problems and deviations from plans and specifications

Educational Requirements

· Minimum of 2 years of college

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

· 2-6 years of Construction Inspection experience

CADD TECH

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· May perform non-routine and complex assignments

· Capable of working from verbal instructions under minimal supervision

· Extensive drafting/CAD skills required to visualize & portray complex design features

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/CLERICAL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Use word processor, computer or typewriter to type letters, reports, spreadsheets, forms or other material

· Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing/maintaining paper and electronic files

· Answer phones and provide information to callers

· Provide other clerical support as needed, such as making copies, preparing/distributing mail, office supply purchasing

· High school graduate
