Additional/General Information
INITIAL WARRANTY
for the AS&E CHECKPOINT SYSTEMS
PURPOSE:
The goal of AS&E is to provide all of our clients with a positive equipment ownership experience through continual and responsive support of our products. By constant communication and working closely with our clients, AS&E understand the needs and diverse requirements of our clients. Following is the support structure that AS&E provides.
AS&E will take full advantage of its established offices to provide maintenance and service. Please be advised that service personnel may be US Citizens or local, foreign national personnel. AS&E utilizes its existing relationships with its third party vendors to support equipment such as generators, air conditioners and vehicles, as applicable. Third party vendors as well as the Original Equipment Manufacturer are subjected to careful evaluation by AS&E and must contribute to the goals of our ISO 9000 quality program.
MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICE PLAN:
This plan requires customer responsibility for weekly & monthly Preventative Maintenance checks, while AS&E is responsible for the following:
• All Annual Preventative Maintenance
• All parts (including the X-ray tube)
• Disposal of the X-ray tube
• All consumable parts
• 48 hour continental United States (CONUS) & 96 hour OCONUS response time
• All labor
• Emergency telephone support availability 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 52 weeks a year.
Any contractor travel required in the performance of this contract and orders placed hereunder must comply with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) or Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), as applicable, in effect on the date(s) the travel is performed. Established Federal Government per diem rates will apply to all contractor travel. Contractors cannot use GSA city pair contracts. The contractor shall not add the Industrial Funding Fee onto travel costs.
Preventative Maintenance
AS&E has developed a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance schedule for its Checkpoint Systems products. When followed rigorously, this Preventative Maintenance Schedule will maximize the system reliability and availability.
The operator/customer will be trained by AS&E to perform the daily, weekly and monthly Preventative Maintenance, consisting of visual inspections, cleaning of filters, and checks of the general condition of the equipment to ensure that the system is ready for operation. AS&E will perform all other Preventative Maintenance and supply the material, equipment, tools and parts to do so.
Repair Service
AS&E will supply all labor and parts (including the X-ray tube) to service and repair the system as required.
This does not include damage to the system caused by the operational staff, a third party other than AS&E employees or AS&E’s agents, or by weather and/or other acts of God. The repair of such damage will be billed separately using commercial rates.
Support will be available by telephone contact on a 24 hours per day, 365 days per year basis. A list of available telephone numbers for service inquiries will be provided by AS&E.
AS&E will have service personnel on site as soon as possible after receiving a service call, if the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. Response times may vary depending on location of the equipment within country.

Year One Labor Warranty coverage:
Year One Labor Warranty coverage applies to international cases only and in effect is designed to complement the “parts only” standard international warranty by providing Customer with a Warranty that covers labor as well as parts. Also for international cases only, under both the Year One Warranty (including both standard Warranty and purchase of additional Year One Labor warranty) and Year Two Service Agreement offerings, travel expenses are additive to the fixed price, and reimbursable by the ordering agency based on the travel and per diem rates according to the Travel Expenses language as set forth above.
