SPECIAL ITEM NUMBER(S)

Security, Alarm & Signal Systems - Ancillary Supplies and/or Services - Ancillary supplies and/or services are support supplies and/or services which are not within the scope of any other SIN on this schedule. These supplies and/or services are necessary to compliment a contractor's offerings to provide a solution to a customer requirement. This SIN may be used for orders and blanket purchase agreements that involve work or a project that is solely associated with the supplies and/or services purchased under this schedule. This SIN EXCLUDES purchases that are exclusively for supplies and/or services already available under another schedule.

Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) - Including but not limited to door and parking entry control by card access, biometrics (facial, iris, fingerprint, voice, etc.), digital, keyboard, keypad, etc. Also includes vehicle arrest, security barrier, barricade, bollard systems and decorative barrier planters.

Security System Integration, Design, Management, and Life Cycle Support – SUBJECT TO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING - Services involving the security integration and/or management discipline which supports security products or systems through their life cycle. Security Systems integration and design services may include, but are not limited to those associated with the design, test, production, fielding, sustainment, improvement of cost effective security and/or protection systems including the eventual disposal or salvage of these systems. Services may include studies and analysis such as - risk assessment, threat evaluation, and assessment (including resultant deliverables). Contractors may provide security or protection expertise in the pre-production or design phase of security or protection systems to ensure that the system can be supported through its life-cycle and that the infrastructure elements necessary for operational support are identified and acquired. These services may continue through the life cycle of the system or product and may include guidance, assistance and/or operational support. This includes all necessary security management elements.

Includes any services covered under 246 60 1 that are to be performed in conjunction with products/systems under 246 35 7 and are in compliance with current GSA FIPS 201 Evaluation Program requirements. The GSA FIPS 201 Evaluation Program define service categories for the FIPS 201 APL as required to implement the mandates in OMB Memorandum M-05-24 and OMB Memorandum M-06-18 . Categories are defined by the Program to serve the needs of the federal enterprise in an inclusive manner to the various standards, requirements, interoperability and conformance as applied within the execution of HSPD-12.

Services providing for the design, coding, integration, testing, deploying, repair and maintenance of integrated security systems. Includes training across all platforms, enterprise wide, for the complete life cycle of the system.

Note: This SIN does not include services related to physical access control that meet the requirements of the GSA FIPS 201 Evaluation Program. Services meeting those requirements can be found under SIN 246-60-5.

Total Solution Support Products - SUBJECT TO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING Products delivered in direct support of services provided under the other SINs. These products could include training manuals, CD-ROMs, overhead slides, security and simulation software and hardware, etc. utilized in performing a task.

Agency orders may include complete turnkey operations, maintenance and support services, or components thereof as needed to ensure secure and protected systems involving personnel security, physical access, and information security, and reduce life cycle costs. Contractor personnel carrying out these activities, to include management and operating staffs, are not involved with or responsible for the core business of the customer agency placing the order.

Verifies system design concept and equipment required for complex, multisite systems. May supervise other security engineers and draftspersons. Must possess strong organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills to understand client requirements.

Applies engineering skills in the analysis, specification, development, integration, production, testing and acquisition of systems and components. Evaluates and recommends commercial off the shelf (COTS) applications and products. Prepares electrical schematics, mechanical layouts, and wiring diagrams; develops dsign solutions and prepares relevant rocurement and design documentation. Implements performance and technical standards and conducts ppropriate tests to asses nad validate system performance. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. MINIMUM/GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience in the physical security industry.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY: Prepares security system installation drawings and instructions based on contract requirements, site conditions and manufacturer specifications and building codes under general supervision. Verifies design concept and equipment required for less complex security systems. Prepares redline and as-built drawings. Assembles documentation packages. Supervises Draftspersons. Create installation packages including system drawings and other required documentation, product research, create proposals for new systems, create system drawings as required both pre-and post-sales.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

A description of the services offered under this SIN is set forth below. Resumes shall be provided to the GSA Contracting Officer or user Agency upon request. In each of the descriptions set forth below, where qualifications permit the substitution of equivalent experience for education or education for equivalent experience, MCW will apply the following minimum standards: Each year of education is equivalent to one year of experience.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY: Participates in engineering projects and network implementations involving the extension and application of highly advanced engineering and networking principles and concepts. Capable of networking design implementation. Performs work that may include a variety of complex features and requires multi- or interdisciplinary approaches. Conducts advanced and state-of-the-art assignments under general supervision. Provides technical information for, and final technical editing of, all documents and proposals. Provides diagnosis of, and resolution for, complex networking and engineering problems.

'Demonstrated proficiency in required CAD software package. Typing documents, filing, assisting account reps as required, answering phones, processing customer orders, receiving and processing service calls, prepare and issue service call quotes, etc.
