M.A.C.H.™ – Mechanical Advantage Control Holds

Arrest Control / Defensive Tactics

Controlled F.O.R.C.E. is the developer and sole source provider of Mechanical Advantage Control Holds (M.A.C.H.™) System. The M.A.C.H.™ System is an established national standard of subject control and defensive tactics training that has been adopted into Department of Defense doctrine, standards of training for Law Enforcement, and use of force policies at all levels of corrections and security forces across the nation.

M.A.C.H. Training System: The M.A.C.H.™ Holds are a series of techniques that use positioning, movement, joint manipulation, leverage and the resisting subject’s own body momentum to enable its users to subdue the subject in a controlled manner without inflicting injury. The training drills and exercises are designed to maximize the repetition of simple yet effective gross motor skill techniques to hone muscle memory and increase officer retention. The M.A.C.H.™ Holds flow one to another in any sequence, allowing its users to adjust to the subject’s unpredictable actions.

Each drill in our lesson plan builds into other drills. This building block system allows for a realistic approach with preparing an officer to perform arrest control and self-defense techniques. Our Instructors know from experience that the techniques work in real situation.

Agencies Using the M.A.C.H. ™ System

Military: The Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Mechanical Advantage Control Holds (M.A.C.H.™) based system is part of the training doctrine at the DoD Civilian Military Police Schoolhouse, US Army Military Police Schoolhouse, and U.S. Marine Corps Military Police Schoolhouse at Fort Leonard Wood. This represents the standard of training for all MPs stationed worldwide.

Federal and law enforcement: The M.A.C.H.™ System provides a national standard of subject control training that thousands of law enforcement and federal agencies have adopted into their Use of Force Training to meet departmental P.O.S.T., C.L.E.E. Accreditation standards.

Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Level 1 is certified by International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement (IADLEST) National Certification Program™ and the United States National Standards of Training Association (U.S.N.S.T.A.).
