GUARD I
Educa�on: Requires high school diploma or GED and comple�on of a cer�fied security training program or local, state, or federal law enforcement training academy.
Experience: Two years of con�nuous work experience that demonstrates reliability, dependability, and good judgment. Must successfully complete a background inves�ga�on, including criminal and employment checks as well as a drug screening. Must have good interpersonal skills and present a neat and professional appearance. Three years of con�nuous work experience that demonstrates reliability, dependability, a�en- �on to detail, and a good work ethic. Required to demonstrate con�nuing physical fitness.
This guard carries out detailed instruc�ons and procedures primarily oriented to ensure that emergencies and security viola�ons are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority. The primary duty is to observe and report security and emergency situa�ons. This guard intervenes directly only in situa�ons which require minimal ac�on to safeguard property or persons. Du�es require minimal training and physical fitness standards.

Experience: Five years of con�nuous security, law enforcement, or military police experience, of which at least two years must be supervisory in nature and at least two years of experience as an armed security officer. Specialized or supervisory experience includes: project development, management and control of funds and resources, demonstrated capability in managing mul�-tasks and supervising one or more subordinate units consis�ng of a squad or mul�ple squads of security or law enforcement personnel. Must successfully complete a background inves�ga�on, including criminal and employment checks as well as a drug screening. Experience: Must meet one of the following experience/educa�on requirements:
o Prior experience in military (combat arms preferred) o Federal, state, and local law enforcement experience o Three years’ experience as armed security guard o associate degree in Security related field

Educa�on: Requires High School diploma or GED cer�ficate and comple�on of a cer�fied correc�ons train-ing program, including sa�sfactory comple�on of cer�fied firearms and defensive tac�cs courses. Must addi�onally have at least 15 semester college credit hours in Correc�ons, Criminal Jus�ce, Psychology, Sociology, Family Rela�ons, Guidance and Counseling, Pastoral Counseling, Social Work or Law Enforcement. Any bachelor’s degree or two years of sa�sfactory Correc�ons Officer employment at the state or federal level fulfills the educa�on requirements. Maintains order among inmates in a prison or local jail. Performs rou�ne du�es in accordance with estab-lished policies, regula�ons, and procedures to guard and supervise inmates in cells, at meals, during recrea�on, and on work assignments. May, if necessary, employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Typical du�es include: taking periodic inmate counts; searching inmates and cells for contraband ar�cles; inspec�ng locks, windows, bars, grills, doors, and grates for tampering; aiding in preven�on of escapes and taking part in searches for escaped inmates; and escor�ng inmates to and from different areas for ques�oning, medical treatment, work and meals. Patrols courthouse to provide security. Escorts defendants to and from courtroom and stands guard during court proceedings. Monitors courtroom for security. Assignments include not only the control of entrances to the court but also a�en�on to the special needs of the court system, par�cularly in the area of personal protec�on for the judges, jurors, witnesses, a�orneys and other persons involved with the court, including the general public. Du�es require specialized training in methods and techniques of protec�ng security areas. Is required to demonstrate con�nuing physical fitness and proficiency with firearms or other special weapons. Must be able to exercise tact and diplomacy dealing with members of the public and senior level government officials and maintain control of government furnished equipment

Experience: Five years of con�nuous security, law enforcement, or military police experience, of which at least two years must be supervisory in nature and at least two years of experience as an armed security officer. Specialized or supervisory experience includes: project development, management and control of funds and resources, demonstrated capability in managing mul�-tasks and supervising one or more subordinate units consis�ng of a squad or mul�ple squads of security or law enforcement personne. Must successfully complete a background inves�ga�on, including criminal and employment checks as well as a drug screening. Must have good interpersonal skills and present a neat and professional appearance.

Examples include but are not limited to vehicles, addi�onal guard mount �me, paid travel �me, CBA wages and benefits in excess of the Wage Determina�on, extra supervision, etc. In addi�on, if any required posi�ons are not billable to a specific contract and therefore must be included in the overhead costs, the cost of these posi�ons will be added to the billing rates for billable posi�ons (e.g. Guards).
Salaries for Managers and Supervisors are dependent on various factors including the size and complexity of the contract, clearances and experience required loca�on, and whether wages are compe��ve in each loca�on. INDUSTRIAL FUNDING FEE: The Industrial Funding Fee is included in the rates shown in GSA Labor Categories Pricing page 08
SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR TASK ORDERS: Agencies may incorporate provisions in their task order that are essen�al to their requirements (e.g., security clearances, hazardous substances, special handling, admin personnel, etc.). These provisions, when required, will be included in individual task orders. Any cost necessary for the contractor to comply with the provision(s) will be included in the task order proposal, unless otherwise prohibited by law
