B. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS/SERVICES
1a. SIN 874 4 Instructor led Training, Web Based Training and Education Courses, Course Development and Test Administration
SIN 874 4 - Item Number 0001: Distance Learning Continuing Medical Education (medical facility license). Distance Learning Continuing Medical Education (medical facility license).
Distribute continuing medical education (CME) and continuing education (CE) courses via online media (Internet, Intranet), CD-Rom or videocassette, including participant registration, usage tracking and reporting, post-testing, and certificates of completion. The individuals viewing the courseware are referred to as Participant(s).
CME/CE programming is provided in the following areas: Administration, Physician, Nurses, Nurse Aide, Medical Records, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietary, Emergency Medical Technicians, Social Work, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Patient Education and Dental Assistant. 15 new accredited programs are provided every month, including a syllabus for each. Each program is accredited at least 1.0 Contact Hour minimum (50-minute minimum) for one, two or three years by a nationally recognized accreditation body, and is developed with a multidisciplinary approach in an Educational Design, Level One format (Instructor Lead). An Advisory Board is maintained for each discipline that meets regularly to assess the curriculum and content development of the program offerings.
Participants have the ability to (i) enter test answers on the Internet, where the test is instantaneously graded and certificates are printed immediately; and (ii) access their confidential CME/CE transcripts via online media. The site POC has the ability to access participants' CME/CE transcripts via online media. Participant usage tracking and reporting data is downloadable and customized to the Agency's learning management system.
A customer service department is provided on a 24-hour a day, 7 day-a-week basis to support the programs, provide technical assistance and resolve problems. 128-bit encrypted security is provided, and all data is password protected. Online servers and appropriate online bandwidth is provided and maintained.
The services provided under this Item Number 0001 are priced as an annual facility license, whereby all Participants employed on a full-time or part-time basis at the medical facility are licensed to avail themselves of the services described in this Item Number 0 001.
SIN 874 4 - Item Number 0001-B: Distance Learning Continuing Medical Education (annual per clinic pricing). Same as item number 0001, except the services are available to clinics only. A clinic is defined as a medical facility having less than 50 employees and having no in-patient beds. The following restrictions apply as compared to Item Number 0001:
• The services provided under Item Numbers 0002 and 0006 are not available.
• Distribution is through the Internet only (Intranet, CD-Rom and videocassette distribution are not available).
• Patient Education programs are not available.
SIN 874 4 - Item Number 0007: Distance Learning Continuing Medical Education SCORM.
Distance Learning Continuing Medical Education SCORM (Sharabale Content Object Reference Model) Courseware (individual Participant license). The by-Participant pricing included herein is based on the Agency purchasing a minimum of 100,000 Licenses. Product will be delivered in SCORM 2004 format as a digital download or delivered on digital media per the Agency requirements.
An initial library of over 400 courses with new courses made available monthly. The individuals viewing the courseware are referred to as Participant(s). This courseware can be hosted externally on a SCORM compliant Learning Management System (LMS) that accepts SCORM 2004 content.
CME/CE programming is provided in the following areas: Clinical Laboratory Science, Dental, Dietetics, EMS, General Staff Education, Medical Records, Nurse Aide, Nurse Assistant, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician, Psychology, Radiological Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatry and Surgical Technology. 15 new courses are provided every month, including a syllabus for each. Each accredited course is accredited for a minimum of 1.0 Contact Hour (50-minute minimum) for one, two or three years by a nationally recognized accreditation body, and is developed with a multidisciplinary approach in an Educational Design, Level One format (Instructor Lead). An advisory Board is maintained for each discipline that meets regularly to assess the curriculum and content development of the program offerings.
The Agency has the ability to provide a medical assessment of the content of the courseware delivered and if the courseware does not meet the medical or Formulary standards of the Agency, the contractor may revise or make the courseware unavailable.
Participants have the ability to enter test answers within the SCORM course, where the test is instantaneously graded and certificates are printed immediately. Online servers and appropriate online bandwidth is provided and maintained.
