In addition to teaching at The Computer Workshop, Inc, they have taught at establishments such as OSU, Columbus State

Community College, Jordan College (Michigan) and Lakeland Community College. All instructors have taught in large classroom situations and have also worked one-on-one with clients.

Instructor meetings are held on a regular basis to discuss training issues to constantly update the instructors on new techniques, trends and to share client concerns.

Advantages of The Computer Workshop, Inc Hands-On Training

Our instructors explain a concept and then help the clients complete an exercise pertaining to that concept. Because our class sizes are kept small, each client receives personal attention in understanding the concepts.

Each Student:

• Uses a computer during a class

• Has a student manual to use during class, as well as to use as an after-class reference

• Has Course exercise files for after-class practice

Course Content Sheets

Our Education Specialist/Account Executive work closely with clients to make the perfect fit between course content and client needs. Course content sheets are used to place clients in the proper levels of learning. The course content sheets list all topics covered and have check lists for the client to complete to indicate whether they know, don’t know or need a refresher for that topic.

Individual Attention

Our individualized attention that our instructors give clients before, during and after class, is among the best in the industry.

All clients receive personal attention by:

• Our class size is kept small, and an Assistant Instructor is used if the class size merits

• Instructors’ ability to quickly acknowledge clients’ levels of expertise and problem areas

• Instructors’ ability to relate to real-life examples that pertain to the clients’ use of the software

Reputation/Quality Control

We have been told many times that our training is among the “best in the industry”! We try very hard to live up to that reputation! No company is 100%, but we are very conscientious about the quality of training given.

To ensure continued quality, The Computer Workshop, Inc. responds to client’s suggestions and comments in a timely manner. The course evaluations provide immediate feedback. All evaluations are read, suggestions for improvement are considered and timely action is taken when appropriate.

Our instructors are also required to complete a course evaluation, during and after class. The instructors’ evaluations cover issues such as equipment concerns, proper placement of clients, presentation of curriculum, flow of class and any suggestions for course improvement.

Quality checks are done on a regular basis and suggestions made by our clients are then presented to the Training

Manager to implement in their training department.

Telephone Support

The Computer Workshop, Inc has an unlimited phone support policy. Any student that has taken a class has the privilege of calling with questions regarding any class taken.

Free Refresher Course

A student can retake any class within a year of the original class. This gives students who do not use a software feature immediately a second chance and is just one of the many added benefits our students enjoy. We encourage students to practice what was covered in class when they return to their office. In the busy corporate world this is not always possible, therefore, the retake class becomes a benefit. Students may also come to a self-paced, Instructor-Assisted class at no additional charge to review the course materials and to solve problems.
