About this file
This document is a bid specification and response form for Grease Trap Cleaning Service issued by Erie 1 BOCES for fiscal year July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. The contract covers cleaning and inspection services for grease traps at four locations: Education Campus, Harkness Career & Technical Center, Kenton Career & Technical Center, and Potter Career & Technical Center - all located in western New York. Services will be performed three times per fiscal year (preferably in July, December, and March), with each cleaning involving comprehensive trap cleaning including scraping trap sides, high-pressure washing, complete waste removal, and hydro-jetting drain lines. Contractors are required to contact the Head Custodian at each location and arrange a site visit prior to submitting bids.
The bid response form requires vendors to provide per-center cleaning costs, with payment made after each completed cleaning. The document allows for an optional contract renewal for a second year under the same terms, with vendors able to indicate whether they will maintain the same pricing or propose a price escalation percentage. Additionally, vendors must quote an hourly rate for cleaning building floor drains not included in the primary contract. Waste disposal must comply with federal, state, county, and city laws, and bacterial products used must be pre-approved by Erie 1 BOCES, with restrictions on enzyme, surfactant, and solvent content. The contract emphasizes thorough cleaning standards and requires reporting of any equipment damage or issues discovered during service.
