Text version

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for FLIR

Camera. The compliant material is available solely from Teledyne FLIR, as the required timeframe can only be sold through FLIR. The NAICS code is 333314 and the business size is

500 employees.

The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Teledyne FLIR. The proposed action is for FLIR cameras, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: FLIR is the only source of the required items, with no compatible service on the market. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to

Teledyne FLIR using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 12:00AM 18 August 2022. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 12:00AM on 08/18/2022 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the

Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
