Brand Name Justification NCC SQuirreL suite Software

The Department of Commerce, Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has been using NGSSquirrel to assess database security since 2011. During the past 5 years, OIG has provided on-the-job training for using NGSSquirrel and accumulated significant technical experience in deploying NGSSquirrel. Therefore, continuing use of NGSSquirrel is critical for us to effectively assess security posture of Department databases in our future audit work.

The OIG needs a database vulnerability scanner for assessing security posture of Department databases that store critical business data. Specifically, this tool provide us unique capability of assessing database vulnerabilities, including vulnerability identification, analysis, recommendation for remediation, as well as compliance reporting. At minimum, this database scanner is able to assess Microsoft SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2/Informix, Sybase, and MySQL databases.

Requirement:

NCC SQuirreL Suite (SQL/Oracle/DB2/Sybase/MySQL/Informix) 100 database instances (commodity code- 3SP100-R6/8) NCC SQLCrack – Password Cracking Utility (free) (commodity code- 3CP-R6/8) License/ Account Renewal 2016-2019 (3 year)
