GENTEX Mask Light Assembly
F2ET569011AW01
$63,400.60
The GENTEX mask light is mounted to the MBU-20/P oxygen mask to provide as a source of light used to read publications and flight plans in the dark.
Per the ACC/A3's MFR dated 24 Apr 17, Subject: Acceptance of Risk for Gentex Mask Light Assembly, the GENTEX mask light assembly is the only light of its kind that has been accepted for use by A-10, F-15, F-22 and F-16 aircrew members.
Paragraph 1.3.5.8. Configuration management resides with the vendor; therefore, ACC/A3T will address sustainment logistics, maintenance, and future issues directly with the manufacturer.
The GENTEX mask light assembly will be used until the determination/validation of the under canopy illumination requirement document (forthcoming) has been made by the Aircrew Performance Executive Council and AFMC.
