The Carbon Group located at the USGS Water Science Center in Sacramento, CA needs to purchase one (1) open path CH4 gas analyzer and associated equipment. The analyzer must operate on low power and will be used with existing fast response sonic anemometer to collect continuous measurements of methane gas fluxes at remote collection sites.

LI-COR LI-7700 OPEN PATH CH4 ANALYZER & ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:

1. Shall be an open path eddy covariance applications.

2. Shall be a high-speed and high precision methane gas analyzer.

3. Shall be capable of operating on low power, maximum of 8W power consumption during operation and

16W during cleaning cycle.

4. Shall be capable of operating on 10.5 to 30 VDC.

5. Shall use wavelength modulation spectroscopy 2f detection.

6. Shall be capable of a minimum resolution of 5 ppb at 10 Hz and 2000 ppb.

7. Shall have a measurement range of 0 to 25 ppm at -25°C and 0 to 40 ppm at 50°C.

8. Shall have an operating temperature range of -25° to 50°C.

9. Shall be capable of bandwidths of 1, 2, 5, 10, or 20 Hz.

10. Shall be capable of data communication via Ethernet, RS232, analog and SDM.

11. Shall have a minimum optical path of 0.5m physical path and 30m measurement path.

12. Shall weigh no more than 12 pounds.

13. Shall have self-cleaning mirror to reduce maintenance and ensure continuous data collection.

14. Shall be low maintenance and capable of long-term, unattended, continuous operation.

15. Shall be capable of working in conjunction with fast response sonic anemometer.

16. Shall be Windows® based user interface.
