Background
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) was created on September 26, 1914 when President Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Trade Commission Act into law. The FTC is a bipartisan federal agency with a unique dual mission to protect consumers and promote competition.
The FTC’s mission is to protect consumers by preventing anticompetitive, deceptive, and unfair business practices, enhancing informed consumer choice and public understanding of the competitive process, and accomplishing this without unduly burdening legitimate business activity.
The FTC has a requirement for web-based subscriptions services to provide 24-hour access to up-to-date and comprehensive analysis and tracking of congressional legislative actions.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; electronic quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined solicitation/synopsis is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).
