Flooring IDIQ Questions & Answers
Q1. May I suggest for this 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside that you use NAICS of 238330? The 314110 refers to manufacturers where the 238330 refers to service providers.
A1. The reason for the NAICS code is this requirement is being done as a commodity rather than the service or construction. As long as you meet the small business size standard of 314110, you qualify for this solicitation.
Q2. Would you consider a SDVOSB set-aside?
A2. No, we have decided to make this Acquisition a “Total Small Business” set-aside.
Q3. Is there currently a contract on the Flooring IDIQ there at Hill AFB or was there contract that has expired.
A3. There is not a contract currently in existence. Previous carpet purchases have been made via single purchase orders, usually off of GSA. There have not been any recent IDIQ’s in place for carpet here at Hill AFB, UT.
Q4. In Section 9.4 Technical Specifications 9.4.2 the Nylon specification reads as follows: “a cross-section modification ratio no greater than 2.5.” We can meet all of the performance guidelines outlined in the specs such as the TARR rating, density, warranty, etc. by using products with a fiber modification ratio of 2.8; Please advise if this is an issue.
A4. We are requiring the standard as it is currently written: at a cross-section modification ratio no greater than 2.5.
