The purpose of this amendment is to post answers to questions which arose from Amendments 0001 and 0002 posted previously. A Hash-tagged number (i.e., #1, #3, etc.) refers to a specific Minimum Technical Requirement in the original solicitation.

Q1: (#4): "shuttle doors shall be located on the inside of each top and bottom cage; each cage top and bottom shall have a lexan, solid stainless steel and a 1⁄2 sq. inch wire mesh shuttle doors for social housing” Please confirm location of these shuttle doors inside the top and bottom cages. In other words, is there a solid door and 1/2” wire mesh on the RIGHT and a solid door and Lexan door on the LEFT of each cage?

A1: Clarification: Each cage top and bottom should have a lexan and ½” wire mesh shuttle door on both sides, right and left of each cage. Each cage top and bottom should have a solid stainless-steel shuttle door ONLY on the left side of the cage. Location of the shuttle door opening is at the back of the cage approximately 1/3 of the cage depth.

Clarification: Each cage top and bottom should have a lexan and ½” wire mesh shuttle door on the right side. Each cage top and bottom should have a solid stainless-steel shuttle door and a lexan door on the left side of the cage

Q2: (#11): "designed for flushing waste AND accept waste pans for bedding” Please confirm if flushing pans are NON- REMOVABLE or REMOVABLE, allowing for VERTICAL animal movement between top and bottom cages.

A2: They are fully removable.

Q3: (#12): "designed with solid floors between top and bottom cage” Are these solid floors NON- REMOVABLE or REMOVABLE, allowing for VERTICAL animal movement between top and bottom cages?

A3: The solid floors are removable between top and bottom cages for animal movement and on the bottom cage to allow for catch pan use.
