AMENDMENT ONE - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

FDA-SOL-1180697

1. Do you want a new or used building? New is preferred; if used, it should be in a fully refurbished condition with no known defects.

2. When do the units need to be ready? July 2017.

3. Does the government want skirting? Yes.

4. Are we providing ramps and steps? The government is providing ramps and steps (GSA will provide once trailer is in place).

5. Does building need to meet ADA? Yes.

6. If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the contract number? No incumbent; existing trailer is gov’t-owned.

7. Would you please tell me the size of desired office, how many rooms, bathroom or dry unit? Also where it would be place? The only separate room we need inside the unit is a bathroom (standard ADA-compliant size). The remainder will be an open space since this is a temporary, leased building. FDA does not know “where it would be place” means; FDA provided the map showing where it would be located.

8. I do remember this was out for pricing last year. There were some detailed pictures in the original RFP, do you still have them available? They were pictures of the existing building that gets removed and of the site. Can the bid date be extended a week? See pages 2-3 for pictures. Yes.

9. Are you requesting a 12x60 or 24x60 unit? Current trailer is 24 ft wide x 64 ft long (approx.). That size would be the best. Market research has led FDA to believe that a single wide building may be best, but FDA is willing to allow for a site visit, if requested to the Contract Specialist to allow offerors an opportunity to view the site before the response date.

10. When is delivery date? Dependent on removal of existing trailer. Any time after the trailer site is ready (approximately in July).
