Inquiry #2: What is this talking about, not clear on what this is supposed to be? Why Lakewood, no mention of sensor in Lakewood, are these being sent to vedor [sp] for calibration, where are they coming from?
FDA Pacific Northwest Laboratory (PNL) currently owns 20 DataTrace MPIII sensors that requires annual calibration. In order to minimize any negative impact, the awarded contract will require the vendor to calibrate 10 sensors at a time. The calibration service requirements are written in the RFQ document. The physical address for the on-site calibrations will be at PNL, 22201 23rd DR SE, Bothell WA 98021. The 89 VPx of the sensors, the 20 DataTrace Sensors, and the 7 Wireless Access Points are at this address. PNL cannot send all 20 sensors to the vendor for calibration at the same time as it would leave PNL without a DataTrace MPIII sensor to complete its temperature mapping work. The expectation is to send 10 sensors in for calibration service and to have the calibrated 10 sensors sent back to PNL no later than 3-weeks after receipt by the vendor for calibration. After receiving the calibrated 10 sensors, PNL will send the next 10 sensors in for calibration service.
The calibration must meet the original manufacturer’s specification for the DataTrace MPIII sensors. Since the manufacturer, Mesa Laboratories, is located in Lakewood, CO, the expectation is to either submit the sensors to the manufacturer for calibration or alternatively, if the manufacturer is able to certify a 3rd party vendor to calibrate the DataTrace MPIII sensors, then it would be acceptable to submit the sensors to the 3rd party vendor at their chosen location as long as Task Requirement #2, #6, and #8 are met.
Inquiry #3: Need clarification on what this is no mention of this in requirements above or pricing table
The RFQ covers 7 ViewPoint Wireless Access Points or also known as WAPs. The WAPs wireless transmitter/receivers that receive data from the ViewPoint VPx sensor and transmit the data to the ViewPoint server. The expectation of the awarded contract is for the vendor to provide 24/7 technical support service to include the 7 WAPs. There is a separate contract that covers technical support for the ViewPoint server. The RFQ specify the calibration of the 89 VPx and 20 DataTrace MPIII sensors. In addition, the RFQ specifies 24/7 technical support to cover 89 VPX sensors, 20 DataTrace MPIII sensors, and 7 WAPs. Calibration service is different from technical support and the expectation is for the vendor to provide both calibration service as well as provide technical support for these three types of equipment.
