PART 2 – SUPPLIES OR SERVICES AND PRICES/COSTS
Description of supplies or Services The Pacific Regional Laboratory is aligning operations to meet ORA Strategic Plans achieving a faster and more cost effective means to identify bacteria and fungi. FDA requests an instrument that can provide clear identification at the species, geneus and family level within minutes. The instrument is needed to examine patterns of proteins detected directly from intact bacteria. The sample preparation is simple with few steps and application is direct from culture plates to a metal plate testing slide. A matrix compound is added to evenly spread the bacterial material across the testing slide. The required instrument uses a laser to ionize the sample generating distinct spectra. The applied bacteria or fungi will generate a spectra which is compared against a comprehensive database to generate an identification.
The government requires four VITEK-MS or equal instruments with one year manufactured warranty for each. FDA also requires three one year optional Extended Maintenance Packages.
Pricing Table Listed below is the pricing table for the VITEK-MS or equal instruments (which includes one (1) year manufacture warranty for each instrument and three (1) 12 month (one year) option period for preventative maintenance and service for each instrument.
