Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 13.106, for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 339112. The vendor will be Central Security Systems Inc. (CSS), 6831 E 32nd Street 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46226-6198.

Description of equipment requirements:

- Repair, replacement, upgrade, and software updates to CSS installed garage security system with the VAMC Security office.

A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. CSS is the only source possible for this procurement due to their installation, licenses, proprietary knowledge of security camera system codes cinque with other configurations with the current system in use at the Richard L. Roudebush VAMC Indianapolis, Indiana. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information must be sent electronically to Contract Specialist dwight.petsche@va.gov. Responses must be received no later than 5:00 Est pm on Monday, March 28, 2022, to be considered.
