Text version
DESCRIPTION: The National Institutes of Health - NIAAA intends to procure the services of a contractor to provide Centrifuges, ThermoMixer and corresponding pipettes, Tips and other Lab supplies to replace older failing equipment. By replacing these components onto the existing Lab equipment, the Lab expects to significantly improve the data quality in their ongoing projects in “Molecular mechanisms of liver injury, repair, and immunity”. Among many other commercially available products, the suggested items offer the best flexibility and compatibility in the design schemes, thereby many of researchers in the same Lab can utilize the system for various purposes. The data collected over the years can be preserved and maintained by utilizing similar products from the very same vendor rather than start afresh with a different vendor’s supplies.
While the Centrifuges offer a set of features for a broad range of molecular and cell biology applications in PCR tubes and provide precise temperature control for processing temperature-sensitive samples with its advanced colling system, the ThermoMixer is used for heating, cooling and mixing any liquid and is a reliable equipment which the Lab relies on in everyday research.
Supplies Needed:
1# 5406000046: Centrifuge 5425 R, keypad, refrigerated, with Rotor FA-24x2, 120 V/50 – 60 Hz (US) 2# 022628180: Centrifuge 5810 R, keypad, refrigerated, with Rotor A-4-81 incl. adapters for 15/50 mL conical tubes, 120 V/50 – 60 Hz (US), 15 A 3# 5382000023: Eppendorf ThermoMixer® C, basic device without thermoblock, 100 –130 V/50 – 60 Hz (US/JP/South America/TW) 4# 5362000035: Eppendorf SmartBlock 2.0 mL, thermoblock for 24 reaction vessels 2.0 mL, incl.
