Chamber Door Bladder – FA930224Q0031

• Is there a cost estimate , budget or ballpark figure for the project listed? Is there an actual start date for the project?

o We cannot provide a cost estimate or budget for the project at this time.

o Start date is after award but will be confirmed by the Mission Partner after award. We expect to award early April.

• Are there any pictures showing the work that needs to be done?

o A site walk is preferred due to the uniqueness of this effort. We are currently settling on a date for the site walk in early April and will share the date once it has been confirmed.

• “The SOW describes doors with fingerstock, wire electromesh, and “bladder” seals. “Bladder” suggests air seal in our terminology. In section 1.1 the SOW indicates that the contract would be to replace three (3) door bladders. But, 1.1.1 then goes on to recommend all three bladder seals, finger stock and wire electromesh be replaced in entirety . Are there 3 doors with

“bladder” seals and additional doors with other seals? Or, do they just call these doors

“bladder” doors and their RF seals are constructed of a combination of fingerstock and wire mesh?

Product name and P/N for RF seals (if not implied by door model #) “ o A: The is one door with 3 bladder Seals. The material makeup/construction of the entire door sealing components includes 3 bladders that seal individually, finger stock and wire electro mesh around each of the bladders.

1) Size? Contractor will need to get with seal manufacturer to get this information.

2) What seal size do we replace? Contractor will need to get with seal manufacturer to get this information.

3) Any other relevant information would be helpful. Government can provide general type information however, any information specific to this one-of-a-kind application needs to come from the manufacturer.

1. Please provide us with pictures of the chamber bladder seal, finger stock, and electromesh, with exact measurements on height, widths, and on each corner curves, so we can provide you with the correct bladder seal. Contractor will need to get with seal manufacturer to get this information.

2. Please provide us with pictures of the door. Government can provide pictures.

3. Please provide us with exact measurements of the door size? Government will provide any related drawings of the door if available. Drawings found to date are old and not readable.

4. Please provide As-Builts of all things associated with the door, including information of the bladder seal. Government will provide any related drawings of the door if available. Drawings found to date are old and not readable. Contractor will need to get with seal manufacturer to get any seal related information.

5. What is the operating pressure to inflate seals? Seal pressure is approximately 30 psi, however, seal information from manufacturer supports inflatable current air pressure.

6. What is the operating temperature for seals and rubber seals? Contractor will need to get with seal manufacturer to get this information.

7. Provide operating pressure inside and outside building differential pressure? Contractor needs to get seal information from manufacturer. Seal from manufacturer supports current air pressure differential conditions.

8. Working hours & security when working in this building? Hours are from 0700 thru

1600. Government will provide security escorts as needed.

9. For us to provide you with a quote it is crucial for your department to provide us with pictures and measurements. Pictures can help, however, seal information from manufacturer will provide the exact measurements required.
