Ruggedized Data Acquisition System (DAS)

Requirements Document for

704th Test Group/846th Test Squadron

1.0 PURPOSE

The 704th Test Group (704 TG) mission is to be the premier provider of unique test and evaluation capabilities relevant to tomorrow’s warfighter through world-class people improving technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and agility. The 846th Test Squadron (846 TS) is one of the units assigned to the 704

TG. The 846 TS’s primary test capability is the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) where they utilize rocket powered sled trains to simulate flight like environments and scenarios with the control and recovery of a ground based system. In order to collect data from these systems a robust data acquisition system is required. These tests are required for the test mission and validation of various avionics platforms, payloads, and equipment for the Department of Defense in conjunction with its partners over a number of differeing rocket sled configurations. The 846 TS has purchased two DTS Slice NANOs, and requires two (2) additional data acquisition system that will interface directly to the DTS Slice NANOs, but with additional collection capability, to continually meet customer requirements.
