Questions & Answers R1
FA9101-18-Q-0018
Gray Bat Telemetry Project 12 March 2018
Question 1: Could you tell us if the proposed work would be completed in 2018? We did not see it specified in the SOW.
Answer 1: Please refer to page 3 of Atch 1 “Gray Bat Telemetry Project SOW”; Section IV Schedule and Section V Deliverables.
Question 2: The scope of work states that 20 gray bats will be tracked and that mist-net sites will be selected with the aide of AAFB. For Cost-estimate purposes, how many mist-net sites should we assume will be surveyed? Will the sites be on AAFB or will we be trapping caves in the vicinity of AAFB?
Answer 2: Only the number of mist-net sites needed to reach the 20 gray bat mark will be needed, i.e. if we catch 20 gray bats in one night, at one mist-net sight, then only one mist-net site will be used. If a mist-net site fails to capture gray bats, then we can move on to another mist-net site. AAFB is willing to aid in mist-net site selection because we have historical data showing the most productive locations.
Question 3: Will proposals still be accepted after March 14?
Answer 3: At this time, proposals will be accepted no later than 12:00PM CST on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
