FA875122B0004 Q&A

1. The solicitation package did not contain an asbestos or environmental survey. Can you provide us with the survey?

A. The abatement drawings show all hazardous materials impacted by the work, however the survey can be provided.

2. Will equivalent material and equipment be considered by USAF contracting?

A. Yes, provided it is determined technically equivalent and equipment submitted is compatible with existing AFRL systems.

3. The PoP is listed at 214 days on the 1442. Current lead times for much of the required equipment is ranging from 120 days to 260 days. Will you consider increasing the PoP based on the current lead times?

A. Yes, the period of performance can be increased if necessary. In order to reduce impact on PoP, AFRL would request submittals on long lead time items as early as possible.

4. What are the regulations and requirements for worker's to obtain base access or long term passes for the project duration? Is there a limit to how many personnel can be onsite?

A. Regulations and requirements for obtaining passes are in the IFB. Additional details will be provided in the contract award. There is no known limits to the number of personnel though it should be limited to those necessary for security purposes.

5. Will second shift and/or weekend work be permitted?

A. It is anticipated all work will be done during normal duty hours.

6. Who is the manufacturer of the existing roofing system and is it still under warranty?

A. AFRL does not have a manufacturer on file. The roof was done in 1988, is not under warranty, and is

BUR.

7. Who is the current fire alarm monitoring company?

A. The existing fire alarm system is Gamewell/FCI (Syracuse Time and Alarm is their local rep), and Alarm and Suppression is the current maintenance and repair company.
