SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding FA8601-23-Q-0052

QUESTIONS:

1. Question: Can you please confirm if cabling for the cameras is already in place or should we add that to the quote. Apologies in advance if we overlooked the page explaining the scope of work, but we can't find it. Can you please tell us what page the SOW is on or please forward a copy?

ANSWER: No wires are required we are using our existing wires.

2. Question: I have a question regarding the labor and installation in the scope of work. Can you please confirm if mounting the cameras is part of the of labor and installation or please provide more detail of what materials will need to be installed?

ANSWER: All cameras will be a removed and new cameras will go in its place. This is just a swap one for one. The electronics and server are the same swap old for new.

3. Question: Can the end user and/or contracting officer confirm who will be providing the

(1) cabling, (2) network switches, and (3) power/UPS devices?

Answer: No, we are using existing. Any further requirements will be addressed after award.

4. Question: These items are not on the list of items to be provided by the contractor and are necessary for the successful completion of the project. Cabling will be approximately 12,000 - 15,000 feet of CAT6 plenum cable.

Answer: We are using existing cables.

5. Question: PoE network switches will be required at the head ends to power the new cameras?

Answer: If that is the style you are using then you need to include them. Again, we are using Existing.

6. Question: UPS battery backups should be included for the NVRs and Workstation?

Answer: This will be addressed after the award of the contract at a later time.

7. Question: Can the end user and/or contracting officer confirm that sufficient rack space is available in pre-existing network racks?

Answer: No we currently have just one switch and it is with the recorder. Once we are compliant we will address as needed.

8. Question: Can you please share any and all information made available during the site visit on Dec 19, 2022. Please provide relevant building schematics to demonstrate the length of camera cable runs. Please provide a description of relevant ceiling surfaces and installation locations (interior vs exterior).

Answer: The ceiling is constructed of a 2x4 grid lock ceiling tile with standard lay in ceiling tile. Also, attached are drawings of the facility and camera locations.

9. Question: During our site visit, it was made clear that one of the objectives of this project is to become "legal" in the eyes of the government, can we have some clarification on what that requires? Are you referring to Federal Government NDAA/TAA compliance which would apply to all components in video management system? Also, will the system components need to be on the USAF CMD Approved Equipment List? Any additional compliance requirements?

Answer: All telecommunication/video surveillance equipment and services must comply with U.S. law and section 889 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Within that guidance, no components can be constructed by a list of particular companies.

Vendors providing telecommunication/video surveillance equipment and services to the Government need to pay careful attention to the manufacturer of the device(s) to include all components.

10. Question: Is this system stand-alone or is it part of a greater base-wide system?

Answer: Stand-alone

11. Question: Can we get a list of the Part Numbers/Device Names for the current cameras and NVRs used?

Answer: No

12. Question: Are any of the cameras currently not functional? If so, do we know why they are no longer functional i.e. bad wires, camera failure, etc.?

Answer: We have a couple not working. I think it is a camera issue not the wire. We will handle after the award.

13. Question: Can we get a device diagram and/or wire diagram from the contractors who had previously done that building's security?

Answer: We do not have this information currently.

14. Question: Is the cabling COAX, Cat-5, Cat-6 or an admixture of those wires?

Answer: Mix

15. Question: Are there any areas within the building need extra focus/or attention from the security system?

Answer: No
