SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding FA8601-20-Q-0173 Duct Cleaning Service
1. The bid documents stated the scope included cleaning all ductwork and accessories in
Building 32. Originally when we looked at the job it was just to clean ductwork associated with Air Handler Units 1& 2, not the whole building. Is it to clean all ductwork in the building?
a. The HVAC ductwork system to include AHUs in Building 32
2. Please define what is meant by accessories? Is it associated grills?
a. Yes, associated grills
3. Can you send the overall square footage of the building?
a. Building Square Footage: 25,000 SF
4. Are prevailing Wage Rates/Davis Bacon Wage Rates required to be used? If so can you provide?
a. The prevailing wage determination is Service Contract Act WD # 2015-4732

5. The contractor would not be required to put access into hard ceilings or hard surfaces to access ductwork, correct? For example drywall hatches would not be required, correct?
a. Access to VAV boxes and ducts through suspended ceiling tiles. Access into
AHUs via existing hatches.
6. In accordance with FAR 36.204, could you please indicate what the magnitude of construction range is for the Duct Cleaning project?
a. This is a service and not considered construction and no magnitude of construction range is required.
7. Will there be an opportunity to visit the site for the purpose of visually inspecting the equipment, building layout, etc.?
a. A site visit is now available on 8 September 2020 at 1:00 PM. If interested contact
