PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)
FOR
School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM)
Centers for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills (C-STARS) Cincinnati, C-STARS St. Louis, and C-STARS Baltimore, USAFSAM Wright Patterson Simulator Service 8 August 2019
1.0 INTRODUCTION.
USAFSAM/ETS has requested the purchase of the System Warranty Program for the listed items on paragraph 2 from CAE Healthcare for Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI) manikins in support of the School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM).
2.0. SCOPE. The contractor shall provide services indicated herein. All services will be performed in a professional, technical manner. The contractor shall provide service for the Human Patient Simulator (HPS), iSTAN, Emergency Care Simulator (ECS), Baby ECS/HPS models, METIman (MMP), Vimedix (VMDX), and/or Trauma/Disaster Casualty Kit (TDCK) systems when requested by the customer and planned maintenance inspections when scheduled. The contractor shall make every effort to respond to service calls at a mutually agreed upon arrival time.
3.0. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS:
3.1. Maintenance: The contractor will supply at its own expense, necessary parts, provided replacement of parts is required because of normal wear and tear or otherwise deemed necessary by the contractor and further provided the METI-manufactured parts are available from the factory. All parts will be new, standard parts, or used, reworked, or refurbished parts that comply with applicable performance and reliability specifications. Exchange parts removed from the equipment shall become the property of the contractor unless such parts constitute “hazardous wastes”, “hazardous substances”, “special wastes”, or similar materials, as such terms are defined by any federal, state, or local laws, rules or regulations, in which case, at the option of the contractor, the exchange parts shall remain the property of the customer in strict compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Planned maintenance shall be carried out in accordance with a mutually agreed upon quarterly schedule. This generally includes checking for mechanical and electrical safety, lubrication, functional testing and adjustment for optimum performance as specified in the detailed planned maintenance check list. Whenever the METI operating system software is utilized and covered under service agreement, the contractor shall provide all maintenance and updates for such operating system software as part of the agreement. Such updates will solely enhance previously purchased capacities of the equipment. Operating system software updates that provide new features or capabilities or that require hardware changes will be offered to customer at purchase prices established by the contractor.
4.0. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE.
1 year basic contract.
