STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR PART 1 OF

LASER INDUCED BREAKDOWN SPECTROSCOPY SYSTEM

5 APRIL 2019

GENERAL

The Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) system is a unique, one-of-a-kind, cutting edge system. This requirement is part 1 of 5 of the LIBS system. THIS STATEMENT OF WORK IS ONLY FOR PART 1 OF THE LIBS SYSTEM.

1. A Triple Spectrometer and Camera package. The system must include the following:

0. A triple 750mm Imaging Spectrograph with dual entrance and exit ports, two micrometer controlled entrance slits, two CCD detector exit flanges, motorized entrance and exit port selection mirrors for all stages, interchangeable triple grating turrets, 12mm motorized slit assembly for intermediate slit height limiter, complete with PC – Dell Dimension Series or Equivalent, Interface and software controlled additive and subtractive modes.

0. A 1024x256 Intensified Camera System, with a e2v Technologies grade 1 front-illuminated CCD possessing 26 x 26 μm pixels with 25 x 6.6 mm (961x253 pixels) active image area in the center or better.

1. 25-mm Gen II, RB, fast gate intensifier w/ P43 phosphor able to support up to 2MHz/16-bit digitization

1. Integrated SuperSYNCHRO timing generator in the camera and Gigabit Ethernet Data Interface

1. Power supply complete with data and requisite GigE cables

A UV, VIS, & NIR Raman Grating Set (200 nm to 1.0 μm) for TR555 Stage 1 Turret 2-600-500 Ruled Grating with 68x84mm, 600 G/mm, 500nm blaze wavelength 2-900-550 Ruled Grating, 68x84mm, 900 G/mm, 550nm blaze wavelength 2-120-HUV Holographic Grating, 68x84mm, 1200 G/mm Optimized for UV Stage 2 Turret 2-600-500 Ruled Grating, 68x84mm, 600 G/mm, 500nm blaze wavelength rotated by 180° 2-900-550 Ruled Grating, 68x84mm, 900 G/mm, 550 nm blaze wavelength rotated by 180°

0. Holographic Grating, 68x84mm, 1200 G/mm Optimized for UV rotated by 180° Stage 3 Turret 2-120-500 Ruled Grating, 68x84mm, 1200 G/mm, 500 nm blaze wavelength 2-180-HVIS Holographic Grating, 68x84mm, 1800 G/mm Optimized for VIS-NIR 2-240-HUV Holographic Grating, 68x84mm, 2400 G/mm Optimized for UV

0. Universal Fiber Coupler with X-Y micrometer control and interchangeable 10 mm diameter ferrule and FC inserts. Includes slit baffle

0. Single leg fiber optic bundle for 190 to 1100 nm with 19 200 μm fibers, SMA connector at illumination end and 10 mm ferrule at slit end.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The customer will receive all components 2 months after contract award.

DELIVERY AND TRAINING

The contractor will deliver hardware to the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at WPAFB, OH.

WARRANTY

Free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal and proper use in accordance with our instructions in the maintenance manual, for the period of time of one year after receipt.
