Statement of Work

Multifunction Calibrator in Support of High Impact Technology Fan and Compressor Research

16 August 2018

Description of the Need The Compressor Research Facility (CRF) of the Fan & Compressor Experimental Branch (AFRL/RQTX) has begun to see failures in its 27-year-old multifunction calibrator and is in need of a replacement. This hardware will serve as an in-house laboratory standard for voltage, current, and resistance measurements used to evaluate fan and compressor performance of turbine engines powering our fighter and bomber fleets. Furthermore, the hardware will be used for daily calibrations during test programs.

Requirements Qty: 1 – Multifunction Calibrator

1. The hardware must be able to supply each of the following outputs:

a. DC Voltage up to at least +/- 10V

b. AC Voltage up to at least +/- 10V; Up to at least 500kHz

c. DC Current up to at least 1A

d. AC Current up to at least 1A; Up to at least 10kHz

e. Resistance up to at least 1MΩ

2. The hardware outputs accuracies must fall within the following:

a. DC Voltage accuracy of +/- 9.0 ppm of the output or better for 1 year (up to 10V)

b. AC Voltage accuracy of +/- 75.0 ppm of the output or better for 1 year (at 10V, 1kHz)

c. DC Current accuracy of +/- 100.0 ppm of the output or better for 1 year (up to 1A)

d. AC Current accuracy of +/- 900.0 ppm of the output or better for 1 year (at 1A, 1kHz)

e. Resistance accuracy of +/- 13.0 ppm of the output or better for 1 year (at 1kΩ)

3. The hardware shall be capable of interfacing with a host computer using an RS232 and/or Ethernet interface

4. The hardware shall be powered with a 120V, 60 Hz power source

Date Needed 8 Wks ADC
