SPECIFICATIONS

The following is a list of requirements for a SETA AvCount brand name or equal particle counter instrument (Part #: SA1000-0) that will be used at the Air Force Petroleum Agency’s Wright Patterson

AFB Ohio, Kadena AB Japan, Mildenhall RAF UK, Al Udeid AB Qatar and Vandenberg AFB CA laboratories.

1. Qty: 5 – SETA AvCount Particle Counter Instrument, Seta Part Number - SA1000-0

2. Qty: 5 – Calibration Fluid 250ml, SETA Part Number - SA1001-0

3. Qty: 5 – Verification Fluid 250ml, SETA Part Number - SA1006-0

4. Qty: 5 – AcCount Service Kit; Contains: cleaning kit, tubing, printer paper, battery, Calibration fluid, Verification fluid, threaded cap, handbook, & label, SETA Part Number - SA1030-0

5. Qty: 5 – Ultrasonic bath KC2, SETA Part Number - 99320-2 C

6. Qty: 5 – Sample Probe, SETA Part Number - SA100-001

7. Qty: 5 – AV Count Exit Tube Assembly, SETA Part Number SA1000-004

The particle counter must fully comply with ASTM D7619 test methodology for the count and measurement of the size of dispersed dirt particles, water droplets and other particles in light and middle distillate fuels and bio fuels such as biodiesel and biodiesel blends.

o Must detect an overall range from 4 μm(c) to 100 μm(c) and in the size bands ≥4 μm(c), ≥6 μm(c), and ≥14 μm(c) o Must comply with ASTM D7619 precision and bias requirements

The particle counter must measure utilizing light source and optical sensor technology, operating on a laser light obscuration principle o System software must be automated to calculate and display the number of particles present within set parameters
