Questions & Answers

Question #1

When you say that you want individual channel control, are you looking for independent frequency tuning on all channels or can the channels be tuned in pairs?

Answer #1

Tuning in pairs is acceptable.

Question #2

Do you want a control GUI as part of the delivery or just the API?

Answer #2

If vendor supplies only an API, that will be acceptable.

Question #3

We understand that specifications for some of key parameters for UP converter are

1. Spurious requirement is -60 dBc (SFDR of 60 dB).

2. Minimum of 2dBm input power at 1dB compression

3. Minimum 20dB Gain

4. Minimum 30dB OIP3

Thus, at +2 dBm input, output harmonics (second and third) shall be nominally at -15 to -16 dBc.

Clearly for every 1.0 dB reduction in input power, output second harmonic dBc value shall improve dB for dB and third harmonics shall improve 2 dB for every 1.0 dB. This is the outcome of current specification.

Is this acceptable or customer would like an improvement in the output harmonics from the specified -15 to -16dBC?

Answer #3

We are not specifying a harmonic level, so whatever the vendor supplies is acceptable.
