The contractor shall be capable of furnishing all required labor, material, facilities and equipment to manufacture, test, package and ship to the Government a complete serviceable unit.
Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The preceding page(s) contains a description of the production requirement and a Contractor Capability Survey. The Survey allows Contractors to provide their company’s capability.
2. If, after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate in the market research, you should provide documentation that supports your company’s capability in meeting these requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. If you lack sufficient experience in a particular area, please provide details explaining how you would overcome the lack of experience/capabilities in order to perform that portion of the requirement (i.e., teaming, subcontracting, etc.)
3. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements are encouraged.
4. Questions relative to this market survey should be addressed to the PCO.
PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the following APN-241 radar components:

FUNCTION:
Receiver Transmitter Processor (RTP) - The RTP is a highly integrated line replaceable unit (LRU) that contains a modular, wired chassis and backplane unit with all solid state, line replaceable modules (LRM). The waveguide-to-coaxial transfer couplings, the duplexer, and the receiver protectors are considered part of the wired chassis and are not line replaceable. The RTP contains the transmitter, receivers, processors, power supplies, synchronizer interface, bus transceiver, and display drivers.
LPCR Antenna - The antenna assembly is powered and controlled by the RTP. The antenna is a slotted flat plate array driven by a RF beam forming network of comparators, switches, and drivers. The power amplifiers and RF switch drivers are mounted in the antenna base and are conduction cooled. The single coax connection is part of the automatic monopulse calibration circuit. There are two single channel rotary joints in elevation and a three-channel rotary joint in azimuth. The antenna scans 135 degrees in azimuth, with horizontal polarization and variable tilt, and + 45 to − 45 degrees in elevation.
RTP Mount - The RTP mount assembly provides cooling air to the RTP when hot, heating to the RTP when cold, and sensor signals to monitor air flow and temperature. The RTP is fitted to the RTP mount with a pressure-tight gasket/EMI seal.
