Purchase Description and Specifications

SLA (Stereo Lithography) 3D Printing System

1. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: To purchase a 3D printer equivalent to 3D Systems Stereo Lithography ( SLA ) ProX 950 Printer with all of the necessary equipment for a fully functional system. The 3D SLA system is for the 809th Maintenance Support Group. It shall meet the minimum salient characteristics as identified below. The 809th Additive Manufacturing Section provides services to all of the Ogden Air Logistics Center enterprises for fast prototyping, form/fit/function and in general, parts supporting the maintenance support group.

2. ACCESSORIES AND SPECIFICATIONS: The 3D printer must meet the following specifications and processes. Everything must be included for a fully operable system:

2.1. SLA photopolymer printing. 3D Systems - Accura Xtreme White 200 photopolymer or government approved equivalent meeting the minimum characteristics:

2.1.1. Tensile Strength ASTM D 638 - Minimum 6,500 PSI

2.1.2. Tensile Modulus ASTM D 638 – Minimum 330 KSI

2.1.3. Elongation at Break ASTM D 638 - Range 7-20%

2.1.4. Flexural Strength Minimum ASTM D 790 – Minimum 10,800 PSI

2.1.5. Impact Strength Minimum ASTM D 256 – Minimum 1 Ft-lbs./in

2.1.6. Heat Deflection temperature ASTM D 648 @66/260 psi – 117/108

2.1.7. Glass Transition Temperature DMA, E” - 126

2.1.8. Coefficient of Thermal Expansion ASTM E 831-93 @30-50°C/70-140°C – 53/100

2.1.9. Hardness, Shore D -78-80

2.2. Minimum Build Envelope 55 x 150 x 75 cm (21.7 x 59.05 x 29.5 in.)

2.3. Laser Specifications:

2.3.1. Dual lasers delivering 1Watt at the vat scanning simultaneously

2.3.2. Dual spot, auto Z-focus laser

2.3.2.1. Border (Outer Surfaces) - 0.13 mm (0.005 in)

2.3.2.2. Hatch (Internal Mass) - 0.76 mm (0.030 in)

2.3.3. Draw speeds up to or exceeding

2.3.3.1. Border - 3.5 m/sec (150ips)

2.3.3.2. Hatch - 25 m/sec (1000 ips)

2.4. Achievable Accuracy:+/- 0.001 - 0.002 inch (0.025 - 0.05mm) per inch of part dimension.

2.5. Layer thickness: 0.004 – 0.005 inches

2.6. Startup Kit which including:

2.6.1. All tools used for daily calibration, operation, minor repair, troubleshooting support removal and part cleaning.

2.7. Accessories - All required pre/post processing equipment to include:

2.7.1. Load/unload cart capable of loading the build platform and taking parts from the machine to the finishing equipment.

2.7.2. 300 Gallon Stainless Steel Automated Pressure Wash Chamber capable the following:

2.7.2.1. Loading/unloading the 3D printer build platform from the “Load/Unload” cart into itself.

2.7.2.2. Washes the photopolymer off the parts submerged in solvent with agitating jets.

2.7.2.3. Designed to use one of the following solvents or an equivalent:

2.7.2.3.1. Propylene carbonate

2.7.2.3.2. Polyflush

2.7.2.3.3. Rapid Resin Clean

2.7.2.3.4. TPM

2.7.3. 300 Gallon Stainless Steel Solvent Automated Rinse Tank to remove the residual solvent after washing the parts.

2.7.3.1. Ability to loading/unloading the 3D printer build platform from the “Load/Unload” cart.

2.7.4. UV Curing Oven

2.7.4.1. Able to fit the build platform and parts to be cured that are 55 x 150 x 75 cm (21.7 x 59.05 x 29.5 in.)

2.7.4.2. UV light in the 300 nm to 480 nm range

2.7.5. User Operation/Maintenance and Troubleshooting manuals in both digital and hardcopy formats required upon delivery of 3D Printing System. CDRL A001 (DI-TMSS-80527C)

3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: General requirements delivered by supplier shall include:

3.1. Delivery: The contractor shall ship equipment, Freight on Board (FOB), to the following address located at Hill Air Force Base 5 Months after award of contract:

3.2. The supplier shall provide off loading, set up, calibration and functional test the SLA 3D printer and all accessories. Functional testing consists of validation of speed and accuracy. Test and acceptance must meet product’s specifications.

3.3. The Contractor shall provide 4 day of 6 hours per day for of training for four (4) personnel. Training shall include the overall operation and periodic maintenance of the 3D SLA system. The training shall take place at Hill AFB, UT and may take the form of theoretical classroom training, on-the job training or a combination of both.

4. WARRANTY SUPPORT

4.1. Maintenance, calibration, and repair support for requests with repair start-up initiation within three business days during the warranty period.

4.2. Updates to system and/or software provided on disk, for stand-alone operations, as commercial upgrades occur (There is no access to the internet for this equipment).

4.3. Industry Standard Warranty of 12-Month parts and labor warranty.

6. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

6.1. The contractors coming onsite once or twice within the year will only require a one day visitor pass or weekly pass. The contractor shall contact Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO) five (5) days ahead of time to schedule the day of the visit. The sponsor is authorized to arrange visit authorization through Pass and Identification (ID) office. Pass and ID office is located near Southgate Entrance, Phone: 801-777-8631 Office Hours: 0700-1630. The contractor shall be a U.S. Citizen. Proof of ID required: Driver’s license. If driving on base, the contractor shall supply Gate Security with proof of drivers’ insurance and registration. The sponsor shall be responsible to escort the contractor while on base.

7. Hours of Operation

7.1. Normal Hours of Operation: Normal Hours of Operation: The contractor shall have access to the facility during the following normal hours of operations from 6am to 6pm Monday thru Friday and after hour access approval is at Governments’ discretion and approval.

7.2. Recognized Holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Days, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on Saturday, it is observed on Friday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it is observed on Monday.
