About this file
This memorandum documents a reasonable expectation of future funding availability for multiple requests for proposals to procure cartridge actuated devices and propellant actuated devices. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center intends to solicit proposals to award contracts for the national stock numbers and quantities listed, to be funded by Fiscal Year 2022 budget funds. The memorandum instructs inclusion of a notice that no award will be made until funds are authorized and allocated. A concurrence memorandum agrees there is reasonable expectation of future funding authorization.
The related solicitation is a pre-solicitation notice for remanufacturing U-2 propellant actuated initiators. The sole purpose is to remanufacture the listed national stock number and part number initiators for the U-2 weapon system. The effort is a sole source award to Rockwell Collins, as the original equipment manufacturer with data rights.
