CR 1220 BATTERY

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT

01 NOVEMEBER 2018

*Notice: This is a sources sought announcement. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this request. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis.*

Purpose The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research regarding the CR 1220 Battery used in the Under Water Actuated Release System (UWARS) Battery Replacement Kit (BRK) and to determine if a responsible source exists. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice.

Section I: Experience/Technical Capability

1. Name the battery manufacturer and country of origin.

2. Provide test data to verify shelf/service life.

3. Provide any other applications used the United States Government.

4. Provide the battery chemistry.

Response Format Interested parties are requested to respond with a white paper in the following format:

· Mircosoft Word for Office 2010 (or newer) compatible

· 1-inch margins

· 12 point font

· Respondents should submit answers to the questions pertained in Section I Submission Instructions and Deadline Responses are requested no later than 16 November 2018 at 2:00 PM Mountain Time (MT). Responses shall be submitted via email to the Contracting Specialist, Tara Albretsen, at tara.albretsen@us.af.mil and the Contracting Officer, Katie Gill, at katie.gill@us.af.mil.

Government responses to questions will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website.

All information submitted by respondents to this RFI, including appropriately marked proprietary information, will be safeguarded and protected from unauthorized disclosure. All personnel reviewing the RFI information have been briefed regarding Non-disclosure and Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) issues. This information is for market research purposes and should not include contractor methodologies, technical approaches, or any other information that may be considered trade secret or information that is only used at the time of final contract proposal. RFI information will not be posted, but possible future RFIs may be issued if there are more questions that stem from the RFIs.
