The mission of the Test Program Set (TPS) manufacturing Gate (OC‐ALC 76 SMXG/559MXS/MSCEBA) is to procure or produce Test Program Set Hardware for Avionics Test. Test sets support B2 and B1 weapons systems.

The hardware designs that are provided requires use of Joy Signal Technology’s Joy Signal Patch cords and associated hardware in order to meet the design goals of signal integrity with thin, flexible, high density cable bundles that cannot be provided from other sources.

Joy Signal Technologies holds proprietary data on the manufacturing of the component. No other manufacturer offers their custom solution to the hardware design that the Government currently has in place. Other manufacturers offer their own custom, proprietary solutions, but the design the Government has implemented uses the proprietary solution from Joy Signal Technology.

Based on this information provided, Joy Signal patch cords and associated hardware should be the only connectors procured for this effort.
