Solicitation FA812519QA045
BOOMLIFT
The following are questions and answers from the Item Description:
1. Is there a requirement for carriage type and size? Provide a required type, size min/max for the carriage. The carriage needs to meet the standards of the Telehandler. Carriage must have a minimum rating that is equal to or more than the maximum lifting capacity of the Telehandler. Carriage also needs to have hydraulic powered Side Tilt capabilities “Can position the load properly for transport across uneven terrain and can also pick or place loads that are not on a level surface,” and Side Shift capabilities “Will shift the entire carriage and fork either direction.” There is not a required size (Min/Max) as long as the Carriage meets the above requirements.
1. Is there a requirement for fork type and size? Provide a required type, size min/max for the forks. Min. 48 inches long / Max 72 inches long. Forks must have a minimum rating that is equal to or more than the maximum lifting capacity of the Telehandler.
1. Are there any accessories that would be required for the boom lift? Back up alarm, Horn, Lights (work lights/head lights), Cab, Windshield Wipers, Heater, Defroster. The first 3 items should be standard and the last 3 items should be standard with any Telehandler that is equipped with a Cab. I added them anyways because these are the most important items for us that could possibly not be standard.
1. Are there any attachments that would be required for the boom lift? No, not required but we would prefer to have a Fork Attachable Truss Jib with 360 degree rotatable hook. See attached example that is labeled as “Telehandler Attachmnet.JPG.”
1. What are the standards to be able to classify a boom lift as “III Style Designator of Rough Terrain”? We definitely need a “Rough Terrain” meaning the Telehandler can be used off road in a variety of terrain types. The Tier 4 style is fine and like I mentioned in the previous e-mail, it is my understanding that the Government is wanting to go to this style due to emission requirements. Should we change the item description to say Tier 4?
1. Would the JLG 1644 be an acceptable boom lift for this requirement based on the product specifications from the JLG website? YES https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwigyeatsNXhAhUNbq0KHQlgAI8QFjAAegQIBBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jlg.com%2Fen%2Fequipment%2Ftelehandlers%2Fjlg-telehandlers%2F7013h&usg=AOvVaw0Z_4vDZiJfdTi7s6cuzvi6
