TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OKLAHOMA

Statement of Requirement / Item Description

Vertical Stacker

One (1) Kardex Remstar LLC Shuttle XP Vertical Lift Model: XLD-500 (Brand Name or Equal)

Salient Characteristics

· Vertical lift shall be of ergonomic design

· The stacker should position items in front of the mechanic at approximately waste height when they are loading and unloading, this should alleviate any reaching or stretching

· There should be a device to assist the mechanic lifting anything that weighs more than 40 pounds to prevent any strain from picking up large or heavy items

· The stacker shall have an adjustable height of 30” – 40” to accommodate various heights

· All vertical lift electronics/electrical shall be located a minimum of 18 inches from the floor and unit must include electric static discharge protection

· Vertical lift shall deliver multiple trays to access opening to improve picking performance and productivity

· Vertical lift shall have an Emergency Bypass system

· Vertical lift shall have an automatic Emergency Stop device located within arm’s reach (3 feet) of the operator location.

· Vertical lift shall have a manual mode to retrieve items when the controls are offline

· Vertical lift shall have energy-saving standby mode

· Energy-saving mode shall be activated when system is not in use, by placing system into sleep mode

· Vertical lift operator shall be informed when a predefined overload is reached through early warning

· Vertical lift trays shall be held in the access opening by means of the extractor chain finger system

· This shall lock the tray into place to avoid movement while loading and unloading

· Vertical lift shall be equipped with a fire detection and suppression system.

· Shall NOT be a water-based system

· System shall be attached within the unit as outlined by existing fire codes

· Unit shall have a minimum of 80 trays and a maximum of 100

· Unit shall be no larger than 99 inches wide x 117 inches deep x 39 feet tall

· Unit capacity shall have a minimum of 110,000 pounds and a maximum of 121,253 pounds

· Unit shall a maximum lifting speed of 295.30 feet/minute

· Unit shall have a maximum access time of 49.10 seconds

· Contractor shall remove existing equipment and install the new Vertical Lift Module

· The Contractor shall provide a 5-year warranty that shall include parts, labor, travel, and other incidentals

**NOTE: Government-owned items have been stuck within the equipment, due to it being inoperable. The Contractor shall return these items to the Government upon removal of the current Vertical Stacker. Once all Government-owned items are removed, the Contractor shall dispose of the inoperable Vertical Stacker. The Contractor shall be responsible for the location of the disposal** image1.wmf
