1 SECTION I – DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 Purpose

The purpose of this Performance Work Statement (PWS) is to define the requirements for providing the 848th Supply Chain Management Group (848 SCMG) with Purchase Request (PR) Support Team (PR Support Team) business process support and updates of specified Technical Orders (TOs) and Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) processes TOs.

1.2 Scope

The scope of this effort is a hybrid technical and logistical services and advisory and assistance services (A&AS) task, inclusive of PR Support Team business processes, and non-A&AS scope, inclusive of updates of 848 SCMG TOs and NDI Subordinate Work Packages (SWPs), as defined in Section 1.4 herein.

1.3 Background

1.3.1 Purchase Request (PR) Support Team

The 848 SCMG is currently in the process of several transition activities associated with buy and repair PR processes, including transitioning from manual processes to Purchase Request Process System (PRPS) and transitioning from all PR processes accomplished by the PR Support Team to some processes being accomplished by the Item Managers (IMs). The Government requires Contractor support for the PR Support Team to provide expertise associated with PR processes and to provide added expertise to meet PR throughput demands.

1.3.2 Technical Order (TO) and Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Processes

The second aspect of this PWS includes updates of technical data and NDI procedures for end-items managed by the 848 SCMG. TO sustainment applies to end-items that transferred from the System Program Offices without depot level TOs. The NDI process TO sustainment is a continuation from previous contract initiatives to consolidate specific NDI process instructions into a single “master” NDI volume that can then be referenced by applicable end-item TOs where needed. In this manner, detailed and technical NDI procedures will be centrally maintained in a single document established with Technical Manual 33B-1-3, which has yet to be published.

1.4 Contractor Taskings and Requirements
