| **The upgrade of this reporting system will run on Server 2008 in line with the rest of AF system assets which will be supported by Microsoft for support. AFMOA is using the AF virtual environment at Lackland AFB which will provide the Server 2008 operating system for the configuration. Per the DIACAP and Vendor the old (current) system can only run on Server 2003 and the new system was tested and accredited to run on Server 2008. |
**Agfa (pronounced ag-fa, it is not an acronym) is a healthcare company that provides many different utilities. Agfa Talk <http://www.agfahealthcare.com/he/usa/en/internet/main/news_events/news/archive/he20090402_talkstation4.jsp> is their speech recognition utility which the radiologists currently use to create reports. MRS Inc. has developed and integration with Agfa Talk and it is per workstation where the radiologists read mammography. It is this integration that the Air Force is requesting.
**HL7 <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_Level_7> (Health Level 7) is an agreed upon computer language that allows disparate healthcare systems to communicate with one another. In this case CHCS, the DOD’s hospital information system, communicates with MRS via HL7. Each facility has their own set up to communicate with MRS.
**The difference between the database imports is that some facilities already have MRS on a standalone basis and they will need to import their data into a single server. Some facilities have a non-MRS tracking system that they want to convert and import into MRS. The latter is much more labor intensive.
