Q – Is there going to be a transition period in order for the contract company to find and relocate personnel? If so, how long will that transition period be?

A – The Government will allow 10 business days for a company to submit their candidate if they don’t have one already.

Q – With a PoP start date of 1 Jul 2021, the successful quoter would have a short amount of time to attain visas and get through any mandatory COVID‐19 quarantine period in Italy. Would the Government consider adding a transition period of 60‐90 days to accommodate for these unpredictable variables?

A – The Government understands that the uncertainty of travel restrictions, visas, and DOCPER will hinder the transition period for employees. The Government will not hold the contractor to any dates and will remain flexible as long as they’re responsive and prioritize the employee’s transition to Italy. A meeting with the potential awardee will take place to discuss any concerns with personnel mobilization.
