Questions:
1. Will the government consider an MFFI certification in lieu of National Canopy Piloting
Competition experience and USPA Pro Ratings? These ratings and experience are particular to sport skydiving and have little application to military free fall skills as the size of the canopies and control surfaces are vastly different from the RA-1.
2. Please confirm that the statement that "The contractor shall be in compliance with and operate IAW 32 C.F.R Part 861, DoD Commercial Air Transportation Quality and Safety
Review Program and DoDI 4500.53" means that the operator must be Commercial Airlift
Review Board (CARB) approved and a 14 CFR Part 135 FAA Approved Air Carrier.
Answers:
1. Yes MFFI certification is acceptable.
2. USSOCOM has verified that contracted air for jumping does not need to be in compliance with and operate IAW 32 C.F.R Part 861.
